We take our favorite myths, and we don’t shy away from the sex and violence that were always present in the Irish storytelling tradition. We breathe fresh air into ancient myths, with a live original musical score composed by a team of talented musicians with a flare for plucking the heartstrings and setting the tone to fit the tale. We keep the depth, the wisdom, and the richness, and leaven it with humour, passion and playfulness to enchant audiences of any age. Live music is the heartbeat of all our performances, driving the rhythm of the storytelling, weaving through the tale and sweeping the listener away.

We have a large mix of nationalities in our company and wanted to organise something unique for the first sports and social event of the year. The team at Parnell Heritage we incredibly helpful with organising food and drink options while Candlelit Tales were completely enthralling.
The stories were easy to follow for all in attendance and really gave a magical insight into Irish culture and the characters of Irish Myth that shaped a nation.
Everyone that went spoke highly of the event and I look forward to losing myself in future Candlelit Tales events.

Fantastic early evening activity. Well presented stories and songs in a relaxed casual friendly atmosphere. I’d go again! Makes me want to learn to tell some stories of my own.

Candlelit Tales is a unique, captivating experience in which one can relax and be taken on a journey through storytelling and song. I left the event already planning to attend another.

Stumbled upon this event by chance and what a nice surprise. Enjoyed the tales immensely. The story teller was really good , very relaxing evening.... Highly recommend.

Candlelit Tales at the Parnell Heritage
Stories set to music and traditional songs with the stories behind them amazing.
Honestly I didn't know what to expect when I walked in but I was greeted by the lovely staff and seated.
When the show began the storytelling gave and introduction and the music began to play and I was totally immersed from start to finish.
Each story was unique enchanting and witty with the underlying live music changing to reflect each mood.
There were a number of traditional song in between stories with the background to each one when they were written who by and what they were actually about.
I really recommend going to see this show.
This is such a lovely bar & grill pub in the city with a really cool rooftop terrace

A big group of us went to the Tuesday night show at the Parnell Heritage! I couldn’t recommend it more, the stories were enthralling and entertaining and the food at the Parnell Heritage was yummy in big hearty portions, a great experience with some talented Storytellers!

Great way to have some food and spend the evening. If you have visitors from abroad bring them for a unique experience and great fun. The guys from Candelit tales excel in every way and the food is nice enough.
