I mean c'mon, the oldest pub in Ireland? You can't miss that! That would be like not going to see the biggest bribe taker in Washington DC. Or the biggest corn field in Iowa. The food is not bad but pretty ordinary. But the atmosphere...More

We didn't prepare well to be tourist in Dublin (it was essentially a layover during an 11-week round-the-world trip. So it's quite lucky that we were at the Guinness Storehouse, decided to walk back to the flat we were staying at and then got lost...More

Aside from the historical significance of this pub, it also has a great atmosphere. Actually consists on few different cozy rooms plus a central open air section. Visited in the early evening but there is live music every night.

Visited with several first time beer drinkers and the bartender was really friendly and gave some great recommendations. I'm a big time craft beer with heavy hop flavors and the bartender recommended a good local beer. The place is pretty packed and it's hard to...More

No, seems open to all. I'd imagine a family group would be welcomed. However, for comfort, warmth, good food and great evening live music, I would recommend an alternative - Darkey Kelly's on Fishamble Street. Only a short... More
