So this fountain is near the exit of Phoenix Park and was elsewhere until it was moved to this area. It does seem quite suitable to be in this small little pond because it looks very serene here.

This bronze young woman was originally situated in O'Connell Street where she proved very attractive for late night revellers. Commissioned by a wealthy bussinessman for the Millennium celebration in 1988, she was moved to make way for the Millennium Spire. Named Anna Livia symbolising the...More

Great James Joyce monument for the character from Finnigans Wake. Our bus driver explained how the for the Rod to God spire. Apparently everything in Dublin has to have a local's rhyming nickname.

It was a shame though that this small but ornate park was locked on a Saturday afternoon, I always loved this statue when it stood on O'Connell Street, and was rather elated to come across it in a truly serene setting. No opening times advertised...More

This statue was originally designed for and placed in a fountain in the centre of O'Connell street. For the last few years it's been exiled to this park facing a busy road bridge and with intermittent access, the council seem determined to keep it locked...More

Croppies Acre park is the perfect setting for Anna Livia. Lying in her own little pond, she makes a fine sunshade for the pair of ducks which were snoozing in her shade!

The locals call this"Floosie in the jacuzzi." You won't find it where TripAdvisor shows it on the map. It has been moved to a site just north of the River Liffey, east of the site currently shown on the map.

Anna Livia Plurabelle appears in his novel Finnegan’s Wake and reclines here in honor of the River Liffey. As always, Dubliners bestow nicknames on their public figures, “The Floozy in the Jacuzzi” is marvelous and rhymes perfectly.
