free museum in a nice building. worth a look to at least get out of the rain. A must see if you are a fan of Francis Bacon as their is a replica of his studio in the museum and some AV displays as well...More

Solo visit on Sunday morning. Enjoyable and relaxing stroll through small museum just around the corner from hotel. It was worth it just to see Francis Bacon's studio exhibit and take in some lovely and interesting art. And it's free.

It's close to the north end of O'Connell Street and on many of the tour bus routes. There are lots of hotels in this district, it's prime tourist territory
