Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tried out the new 1916 Rebels tour today. Ciaran set the scene really well, summarising all of Irish history in 10 mins (fair play) and bookmarking a few events for us that would prove important later on. We heard about the main events of the Rising, with a few lesser-known heroes and battles thrown in - so you can only learn something new on this. He chatted to everyone about their specific interests and links to 1916/Dublin/Ireland, and kept us all entertained. Great way to spend an afternoon, looking forward to doing more Alternative Dublin City tours :-)

For the word go Eoin engaged and entertained the whole group, clearly keen to ensure we all felt included. He is passionate about his city and its history and delivered so much information in an impartial and sensitive way. We weren't sure what to expect, but were glad we'd turned our backs on the pleasure of shopping in Grafton Street (!) to experience an alternative view of Dublin. We are a family with adult children and found this experience gave us much to discuss and remember. Many thanks to Eoin for his time on Saturday morning.

We recently did the Dublin art gallery crawl with Sean, and I highly recommend it. I learned so much about the history of art in Dublin and contemporary issues and challenges facing Dublin artists. Sean is very knowledgeable and passionate about art and has a great sense of humour. I'd definitely take the tour again with my guests visiting Dublin.

Absolutely enjoyed the Dublin Gallery Crawl. 2 hours well spent admiring beautiful art at the Hugh Lane Gallery and then a nice stroll through the city centre to explore some hidden gems. Sean is fantastic guide with lot's of stories to tell about the art scene in Dublin.

I loved every minute of the Alternative Side of Dublin (walking) Tour I participated in yesterday. Our tour guide, Joe, was well qualified to lead the tour. He was knowledgable, erudite, insightful and entertaining and I appreciated his humanistic values which shone through in his tour. We gained insight into a number of important historical sites on the north side of the river, along with their contemporary manifestations, which we would otherwise have walked past unknowing. We finished on the south side, at an alternative cultural site which was a privilege to experience. The tour went for longer than planned - I liked that. Although billed as 'free' I would not have felt comfortable about not paying after the generosity of our tour guide in making it such an educational, enjoyable and memorable experience.

Paint 🎨 with Coffee Experience

Loved it. Cynthia was a great host alongside her colleague (I'm so sorry I don't remember your name).
We had 3 paintings each and the best painting got a prize at the end of the Experience. Great vibes, great fun.
It has reminded me how much I used to love to draw and paint too.
Highly recommended.
Ps I don't have Instagram but was wondering if there was another place I could see Cynthia's art work.

This tour was a high point of my trip to Dublin. Our guide, Joe, was extremely knowledgeable about Irish history and the city's role in it. I learned so much and want to read more about this subject. Joe's passion and enthusiasm about his subject was in infectious. He is a natural teacher (and entertainer!). I could do this tour everyday.

Have done two of these events now and each has been better than the last. If you're on vacation here and are looking to hang in one of the trendiest spots in the city or your looking for something different for your work night out or even a tinder date, This. Is. The. Craic. Brilliant night and even got to take both my drawings home and hang them on my wall. 5 stars.

First of all, if you get Connor as your tour guide, just be warned he will make your tour the best experience ever! I randomly came across this tour when I was looking for free things to do in Dublin and I was so surprised and amazed by this tour. Connor created a very great environment to wonder and explore the alternative side to Dublin and showed us the quirky and unusual places that you may not come across by yourself or with another tour. He was hilarious and loved to share his own experiences and stories which just made the time fly. Absolutely adored this tour and getting to learn about clockwork doors and their amazing spaces to get to meet people and do some fun activities whilst in Dublin. If I’m ever back, I will definitely be checking them out. Thank you so much alternative Dublin and Connor for an amazing walkabout tour today!!!

I've been living in Dublin for over 5 years, and in my quest for new discoveries, I stumbled upon the "Alternative Dublin" tour. I decided to give it a shot. Conor, our guide, proved to be fantastic with a captivating personality, excellent storytelling skills, and loads of fun.

It was undeniably an alternative tour, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
