John was a great walking tour guide. He share plenty of inside stories about Dublin as a city, allowed plenty of time for questions and made sure we all had an enjoyable time. Would definitely recommend you do this tour on your first day in the Dublin to get your bearings!

Went on Sandeman's free city walking tour with Stephen. It was great. He shared a lot of historical stories in an amusing and approachable way. Highly recommend!

Very interesting free walking tour. Pay your guide what you think it is worth at the end. Our guide, John, was very funny and full of anecdotes. He was objective about British role in Ireland while still relating history. Useful coffee break half way through. Personally would have liked more detailed history but Good introduction for anyone visiting Ireland. The walking is easy and not fast.

The free walking tour was excellent. Helena was friendly and professional and very knowledgeable - she's a student of history and clearly knows her stuff. This tour is also offered in Spanish. We started at Barnado Square next to City Hall and explored some of the attractions nearby like Dublin Castle, Viking remains, Trinity College, Chester Beatty library etc. We had a short tea/coffee/toilet break in the middle of the tour. Helena gave us lots of tips about pubs/restaurants to visit. We had a good group of people from different parts of the world. The walk was at a relaxed pace and shouldn't be too challenging for anyone.

Our tour guide was fantastic, but it was more of a generic history tour - I wouldn’t really call it the “dark side” tour other than a couple kind of dark stories. Great walk around town though and the guide was very knowledgeable.
