This tour is a must for anyone Irish or otherwise looking for a different perspective on our city. Shane's story was an eyeopener into the life of those living on our Dublin streets. His knowledge, not only of the of history of the lesser known areas we visited but of the reality of the situation for those who find themselves on the streets was delivered without an ounce of self-pity or criticism which, given his experiences is amazing. Ultimately for him due to his own resources and determination it has had a happy ending and must be an inspiration for others. Thank you Shane

I organised a South City tour for a group of work colleagues. Kenny and Noel were fantastic guides. They both told their stories so well and the walk was fantastic – so much history around the streets that we don’t see. All my colleagues were delighted with the tour. I would highly recommend a tour with Secret Street Tours.

We had a wonderful tour with our very personable guide Noel. He has some incredible experiences and insights to share, and showed us parts of Dublin and life there that we otherwise would have never seen. It was such a unique way to see Dublin, and I'd recommend for locals and tourists alike.

It was amazing, very incredible message that was brought to us by the right people, and very inspiring to hear about their organization and what they do and how they do it. It was also incredibely polite and pleasing talk to listen too which is very important to keep peoples ears which they were great at. So all in all amazing and incredible

Very educational and emotional walking tour through Smithfield with Shane. We were very touched by his stories of his life on the streets and impressed by how far he’s come since he has turned his life around. We are so glad we did this tour and can’t wait to do the south side one soon!

We were supposed to go to Dublin for a study trip with our school, but due to the corona situation we had to cancel it. The Secret Street Tours offered a virtual talk with Shane, Tom and Pierce as a replacement. It was really insightful and really interesting to hear a perspective you normally don't get to hear! Would recommend to anyone

This was the second time I took a tour with Shane, and I was intrigued to see how it translated to a viryal platform. I needn't have worried.
With a great context setting talk from the founders, a short video to introduce Shane and then hearing from the man himself this was a fascinating tour.
I loved the time allocated for Q and A and how open Shane was at sharing his story.
It is a story of hope and inspiration told with authenticity and humour.

We did the tour online with the guide Shane because of the COVID-19 situation.
The presentation was great, very in-depth and informative. It worked great even considering the circumstances.
I would recommend you try out the tour, even if it is from your living room.

Shane is an amazing speaker and he led the tour by providing important information about Irish history and homelessness in the area of Smithfield.
It was great discovering places we usually walk by without really knowing what’s behind the door.
The tour raises awareness about the sad situation of homelessness that still exists in Dublin and in Ireland in general and can give ideas on how we can give back to try and help as individuals.

A wonderful tour. Derek's tour of the liberties area was brilliant, interweaving history, his local knowledge and his personal story. a definite must do for anyone who loves Dublin or wants to know more about it and it's people.

Speed is no issue, the tour is at whatever pace you'd like. The distance is solid, though - probably 2-3 miles over the course of the tour.
