My wife and I had been thinking about visiting Ireland for some time. Neither of us had been there. We did not know anyone in Ireland, and we did not want to be part of a big tour group. We contacted Love Irish Tours and worked with David. David provided us with several packages and options. We decided to go with a private car and driver/guide for seven days to ensure that we would visit the locations that we wanted to see. We worked out our itinerary with David. He provided us with a great deal of information regarding events and sites throughout Ireland. When we landed in Ireland, David contacted us to confirm our arrival and ensure that we met our driver/guide. Our driver/guide, Marion, was fantastic. She met us at the airport, and took us through our journey of Ireland. The car provided by Love Irish Tours was perfect. While we had a daily itinerary, Marion filled in time with great recommendations based on her conversations with us. Those stops often proved to be better than what we had planned. Marion was a great ambassador of Love Irish Tours and Ireland. The accommodations booked by Love Irish Tours ranged from exclusive hotels to family owned bed and breakfast. They did a great job of lining up the accommodations around our itinerary. The trip far exceeded our expectations. While we wound up spending a little more than initially budgeted, it was well worth it. We traveled comfortably with peace of mind at our own pace, visited the sites we wanted to visit, learned a great deal about a great country, and made some new friends. We cannot recommend Love Irish Tours enough, especially to those who are looking for a company that is responsive, pays attention to detail, and cares about its clients. We plan to revisit Ireland and make a trip to Scotland. We will definitely be contacting Love Irish Tours again!

LoveIrishTours.com is the ONLY tour company that would guarantee the following for me and my wife (1) a customised itinerary based on where we wanted to go in Ireland and (2) a private tour option for just the two of us that enabled me to recline my seat as far back as I wanted, since I have a spinal condition where I cannot sit in regular motor coach seats. LoveIrishTours.com was extremely open to arranging a tour such as this and that is the reason I chose them. And, my wife and I were *extremely* pleased with our trip and especially our personal driver, Robbie Allen. Robbie drove us wherever we wanted and yet kept us on track with our travel itinerary. He has a BMW730D luxury car and it was extremely comfortable and quiet. Robbie is extremely knowledgeable about touring in Ireland and a fantastic guide and fun to be with. While this tour cost most than regular tours, we found that we were super happy with our experience as we got to see and do exactly what we wanted to do. Our driver Robbie and the customized itinerary just made the trip so memorable for us and well worth the extra cost of the private tour. I will definitely book with LoveIrishTours.com again when we come back to Ireland 🇮🇪☘️🍀

We had an A+ 10 day small group tour with our fantastic driver/guide Fintan. Fin was cheerful, knowledgeable, and made us all feel special. This small group (16 people) tour was a good compromise between a traditional large bus and the expense of a private driver. The small group in a small bus with 32 seats meant everyone could spread out and have a window if they chose. The bus was brand new and very comfortable, and we were thrilled to let the driving to Fin so we didn’t have to drive on the “wrong” side of the narrow winding roads, and we could just enjoy the fabulous scenery. The hotels were 4-5 star with excellent amenities and food. Love Irish Tours and Fin took good care of us – they arranged all the tickets for the attractions, handled our luggage, and we didn’t have to think about anything except what pictures we wanted to take. The itinerary included most everything we wanted to see. One night we chose to go to a traditional Irish music and dancing performance, which we thought might be touristy/hokey, but it was well worthwhile since they explained all of those unusual Irish instruments and the dancing was amazingly fast. When we were in Belfast Fin called a colleague and arranged for some of us to tour the areas affected by “the Troubles”, which was memorable since our guide lived through the worst of it and could tell us not just the history but also how it affected everyday life. Our whole trip was a very rich experience, and we would recommend Love Irish Tours to anyone, and ask for Fin!

2nd time touring with Love Irish Tours and our favorite tour guide Seamus! We had to change our itinerary a few times during the planning phase and then postpone due to Covid restrictions. Patricia was always very quick to answer emails, make any changes we needed, and always so kind. When we saw Seamus at the airport it was like seeing one of our cousins. I've been on different tours in many countries and Seamus really is one of a kind. He gets to know everyone in the group and finds something to add that everyone will enjoy. Not only is he very professional but a great personality to be around. He's so knowledgeable about his home and if he doesn't know something he will find the answer and get back to you. Somehow he always had a way of getting ahead of any big tour busses and crowds so we were never waiting on long lines anywhere. This trip we were told we'd be going somewhere special that wasn't written on our itinerary so we didnt know what it was. Seamus brought us to the 9/11 garden of remembrance. Our whole group is from right outside NYC so we of course all know people who lost their lives that day. None of us knew this place existed and it was a very special experience we'll never forget. We can't thank Seamus and Love Irish Tours for giving this to us as an unexpected experience. Beautiful and unforgettable. This showed they really got to know us and thought about us for them to think of taking us there. I look forward to doing another tour in the future!
If you have a group of friends or relatives that want to see Ireland, the private escorted tour is the way to go! They make it so easy to make a tailored itinerary or have great suggestions they can give you! You never feel like you're only at "tourist traps" and you really get to see so many beautiful spots in Ireland. Highly recommended love irish tours and of course our "Cousin Seamus" !!

After spending years traveling the globe wanting to see exotic, romantic, and historically exciting places I realize I could have had it all many years ago if I hadn't waited so long to visit Ireland. With Gordon Coss as our guide, my husband and I embarked on a trip from Dublin at the end of March 2022. We were immediately made comfortable for our 8-day privately escorted journey in a luxury touring sedan. Gordon was at once professional and personable enquiring about both our expectations and desires regarding dining times and any restrictions we had. I choose the backseat my husband Jerry in the front, only trying to get into the driver's side the first couple of days before remembering where we were. We tell people here we were blessed with good weather and Gordon who could find the perfect spot in Blarney for my photography loving husband to capture cherry blossoms raining down like confetti on newborn snowy lambs. And, who could recommend the perfect pub in Killarney on a Friday night where we could enjoy the crowd of locals singing along to lamentable ballads that made you cry one minute and hilarious drinking songs the next that had us wishing we were better dancers or at least not so shy. Gordon was always so well dressed in a freshly pressed shirt each morning and well-polished shoes. We saw other tour guides climbing out of buses looking rumbled and dusty and felt as proud as parents.
The pre-selected accommodations proved both comfortable as well as convenient as all were close enough to evening outings to make it possible to return on our own by walking when the weather was fair, or a quick pick up by Gordon. We stayed at some really lovely B&Bs, and on our final night were fortunate to be at the Trim Hotel and across from the grounds of Trim Castle where school children were recording a performance to benefit Ukraine.
Thank you Love Irish for providing us with such a great and knowledgeable guide as Gordon.

We researched and chose Love Irish Tours for what was supposed to be our first international trip. Covid hit and we had to adjust our travel multiple times. Patricia answered a hundred and one questions and was incredibly accommodating with changes in our travel party as well as helping us to adjust the dates until Ireland opened back up for tourism and we felt comfortable going.
We chose the eight day Love Ireland small group tour and headed out with 14 folks who would become our friends, with Neil as our guide. Neil has a passion for what he does. He provided wonderful stories about the history of Ireland and interspersed that with music from Irish artists. He was patient and accommodating when we needed anything and gave wonderful recommendations for places to eat and visit on our down time.
The itinerary was really good. We saw a lot of the highlights but also some areas that we might have missed had we not had a guide. The accommodations were wonderful. On our Castle stay the staff met us like a scene from Downton Abbey- waving as we pulled in and holding umbrellas open in a receiving line for us.
The price was very reasonable for everything that was packed in. The only change I would like to have made would be spending our last night of the tour closer to Dublin city centre so people who were staying after (as we did) wouldn’t need to bus in to the city- but that was also an adventure that we enjoyed.
I would absolutely recommend Love Irish Tours to anyone, and we hope to do more tours with them in the future!

I don't like to complain but I just wasn't impressed by this travel agency. We planned a 10 day trip for 4 adults and used this agency for planning the hotels and rental car.
The itinerary and hotels that were proposed looked good but the cost of the rental car appeared to be out of line. While rental car prices have increased a great deal at locations all around the world, the price we were quoted was pretty high.
I was able to reserve a similar car from one of the major rental companies and the cost was almost 40% less. We decided to drop the rental car from the Love Irish Tours package and keep the hotels. Imagine our surprise when the new quote for just the hotels increased by 2000 Euro's. We should have dropped Love Irish Tours right then but we didnt...
After several discussions, Love Irish Tours provided a revised price for the hotel package. During these discussions, one of the people in our group made the mistake of providing a credit card number to these people. Huge mistake. We were locked in at that point due to the cancelation policy.
We had a great trip and enjoyed the visit very much. While Love Irish Tours picked nice hotels, we noticed a recurring pattern of ending up in the cheapest rooms and/or rooms with no view or a bad view.
I confirmed that that we were paying premium prices for the lowest quality rooms at many of the locations proposed by the travel agency.
Love Irish Tours did suggest a B&B in Kenmare and we had great rooms and enjoyed this location very much.
The 4 people in our group have been travelling internationally for decades and Love Irish Tours turned out to be the worst travel arranger that any of us have ever experienced.
I see that they have really great reviews on Trip Advisor so I'm really at a loss to explain our experience. If we were inexperienced travelers or had unrealistic expectations, I could understand (and accept) the experience. However, I can honestly say that I will never, ever use this agency again.

While visiting Ireland last week we wanted to book a tour with a guide to ensure we were really learning and seeing all that the Dingle Peninsula has to offer. Usually we do self guided type tours and I'm SO glad we chose to tour with Seamus rather than try to navigate the area on our own! We had such a fun day seeing all that this area of the country has to offer. He was super knowledgeable and such a fun guide to spend the day with. 10 of 10 would recommend and we would totally do another tour next time we're in Ireland!

As a fourth generation, Irish American, I wanted to share my Irish heritage with my children and grandchildren. We chose Love Irish Tours because they were able to customize a trip that met our needs to understand the culture and history of this beautiful nation. Our tour began, and ended in Dublin. We traveled along the coast line from the southernmost point of the Wild Atlantic Way and ended at its northernmost point. All the time we were in the hands of an excellent driver/guide who was concerned with our safety, while adapting the itinerary to met our family’s needs. Our thoughtful driver enlivened our trip with humor, history and an appreciation of Irish culture that we deeply appreciated. He even decorated our Mercedes van in red, white and blue balloons on the 4th of July and introduced us to various local deserts. Love Irish Tours provided us with a very comfortable vehicle, an excellent driver/guide and an exquisite itinerary. They followed us throughout the trip, encouraged us to give feedback and placed us in beautiful hotels. My wife and I have traveled extensively and can honestly report that this was undoubtedly our best trip ever.

My experience with Love Irish tours has been fantastic! I had been to Ireland twice before, but our driver, Seamus, really made this trip special. Within five minutes of him introducing himself, you’ll feel like you’ve been talking to a lifelong friend! He knows Ireland inside and out, and makes the drive interesting no matter where you’re headed. He’s great with people of all ages, making everyone feel comfortable and ensuring that everyone’s having a great time. Whether you have no itinerary planned at all or a detailed schedule, he’ll provide you with whatever you need.
Seamus epitomizes Irish hospitality. He’s got the gift of the gab, full of wit and humor with a a warm personality. I’d recommend anyone interested in visiting Ireland and to experience what makes Ireland so special — the people —to look no further than traveling with Seamus, who makes every experience memorable.
If you have any Irish heritage, be sure to tell Seamus. He’ll be able to provide cultural context of your family’s history, and takes pride in finding the homes and resting places of your ancestors. He makes the experience of traveling through Ireland personal in a way that I had not experienced before.
You may consider driving yourself in Ireland, or maybe traveling with another tour group, but I can assure you that you will not regret traveling with him as your driver. I truly can’t provide a higher recommendation for Love Irish tours and Seamus. I’ll be bringing more of my family and friends back here again so that they can experience Ireland in the same way I have, alongside my newfound Irish cousin!

Question about small group tours -- I thought this would be obvious to figure out, but I can't quite tell from the tour descriptions. My husband and I want to tour as part of a small group that the tour company puts together, we will not be arriving in Ireland with our own small group, if that makes sense. Is that something that Love Irish Tours puts together?

I would think so. Contact LoveIrishTours, ask for Daniel and I am sure he can/will answer your questions. Good luck! Beautiful country.

We are thinking about taking the self drive tour. A little apprehensive about driving g in Ireland. Any thoughts or experiences?

My husband drove over 1200 miles in 12 days. I wouldn't recommend it. Set an area you want to explore and stay at least 2 nights at each spot. We ended up upgrading the car but not because of the tour company. Everything they reserved worked out pretty well. Roundabouts are not a problem in Ireland. They are engineered so you go in the correct direction. Roads are VERY narrow but you get used to it. Good luck and have fun!

This is Robin I would like to know if anyone toured with this company in May of this year? We are looking to book the Ireland and Scotland tour and would like to know about the weather, should we bring Euros and Pounds, to use for tips and use our credit card everywhere else? What is a VAT charge? I’m a little apprehensive booking a large tour with a company I’ve never heard of or dealt with. The internet can be a tricky place to navigate trips! Any information the tour and past travelers can give me would be greatly appreciated! Thank You Robin C

I had a good experience with ,Love Irish Tours.
I used the ATM to exchange money. Use your credit card whenever possible. Don't use a debit card because of extra fees charged for using it. The small group tours worked well for us. Pack light.
