Ireland's National Concert Hall is regarded by performing artists as one of the finest concert halls in Europe. At the heart of Dublin's city centre it boasts a thrilling programme of the world's greatest performers and Ireland's finest musicians. With weekly performances by our resident orchestra, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestras as well as a range of performances and activities covering classical, opera, traditional, jazz, musicals, popular music and education and community outreach, The National Concert Hall is a thriving venue catering for all musical tastes, ranging from the New York Philharmonic to the Chieftains, Cecilia Bartoli to Joan Baez, Lang Lang to Jools Holland and Yo-Yo Ma to Peking Opera, and many more. Our vision for The National Concert Hall is that of a world-leading auditorium and centre of excellence for the performing arts in Ireland. The Hall, on Earlsfort Terrace, is a building worth experiencing on its own merits alone, to say nothing of the exciting performances within it.

I attended the National Concert Hall for the Anton & Erin dance show with the Manchester Orchestra. The staff at the venue were extremely courteous and helpful and I highly recommend this venue for any of their shows. The acoustics were good and the view of the stage appears to be good no matter where you are seated. The seats... More

Very nice, well organised, lovely auditorium. Kids enjoyed the films, an hour is just about right and it was my first time in the NCH. Lovely.

From the reception to the seating area ..,the staff were so friendly. I'm a wheelchair user and nothing was too much trouble. It was very comfortable and relaxing and the view was good from the back row of the stalls. I loved it that I did not see a confectionery counter and did not have to listen to noisy packets... More

A clever introduction of seating and galleries (30-50 years ago?) has transformed this large rectangular 'classically-designed' volume into an excellent concert hall. Our seats were in the front row of a side balcony, which on plan seemed as if they might give an odd, angled view (all still available in our price-range when booked three weeks previously) – however, they... We attended Donna Taggart concert in NCH last nite Sunday 26th February. , which was due to start at 8pm. At approximately 8.03 pm the 3 O Neill sisters played until 8.23 pm. Very good singers. Then as they were finishing up , they announced that Donna Taggart would be coming on stage in 15 minutes. However nobody announced that... More

Hi Agnes C, thank you for taking the time to post your review here. I'm sorry there was some confusion regarding the time of the breaks. We wouldn't usually announce any official breaks as we bring up the house lights to signify this. I will however bring your comments to our House Management team so this kind of situation does... Went to a Charity event here recently - The Legends of Swing. Our second time to see this amazing show under the tutelage of the great Connor McKeon! Great performance and nice spacious venue, easy to book online (you can see the view on the stage from the very seat you book, big advantage).

We recently attended a concert at the National Concert Hall and we were very disappointed with the quality of the sound amplification and acoustics generally. It sounded like 10,000 tinny transistor radios amplified to an ear splitting level - wholly inappropriate for a so-called classical music venue. I would recommend attending one of the other music venues in Dublin if... More

Went to see Colm Wilkinson earlier this week. The sound system in the hall was unbelievably bad. The quality of sound was dire and the decibel count was off the scale. I'll stick to Arena 3 and Bord Gais in future.
