Jason was a masterly knowledgeable, highly personable and entertaining guide for my wife and myself. He greatly impressed us with his deep understanding and sincere appreciation of Ireland’s Jewish history I highly recommend Jason as a tour guide. The two hours we walked and talked together were time well spent.

Jason’s knowledge of all things Jewish and all things Irish is unparalleled. I was particularly amazed with his versatility and understanding of so many topics outside of Jewish Irish history too! Jason is a thoughtful, caring person who has such enthusiasm for the subject it is infectious. Thank you!

Jason is a great tour guide! We loved how he put the history of Dublin’s Jewish community into the context of the broader history and culture of the city and country. His commentary on what we were seeing in the Jewish museum was illuminating and fascinating — fantastic way to spend a Sunday morning!

My daughter and I had the pleasure of taking this exceptional walking tour with Jason. Jason he is a personable and passionate man with an extensive knowledge of past and present Jewish life in Ireland. We walked around “Little Jerusalem” as Jason pointed out the old synagogue and other significant places in Jewish Dublin. We learned so much from him and gained a deeper understanding of the history of the Irish Jewish community. He was just a wealth of information. I highly recommend this enriching walking tour. Thank you Jason!

Excellent private tour. Our guide Jason was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic walking tour in Dublin through the Jewish area. We learned about the Jewish history in Dublin and how the Jews arrived and lived there. We walked through the streets culminating with the Jewish Museum (which was closed sadly). He gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions. Even on a cold and windy day he was very interesting to learn from! Definitely a must when visiting the city! This tour won’t disappoint!

My grandmother was born in Dublin (before leaving for South Africa around 1902) and although I studied in Dublin in the 1980s and made some very good friends in the community, I had never seen where she lived or understood the history of the Irish Jewish community and how our family history fitted in.
So when my wife and I planned a trip to see old friends and tour Ireland, we decided it would be great to learn more and decided to do a walking tour of Jewish Dublin and chose Jason's tour based on his glowing reviews. What a great decision and treat! We did not want it to end and to say goodbye!
We learnt so much from Jason about Jewish Dublin - both past and present - as well as the history of the community in Ireland as a whole. He is warm and passionate about his subject and getting his extensive knowledge across. We wholeheartedly recommend Jason and his walking tour.
We saw where my grandmother lived before leaving for South Africa - so special to see such an important part of our family history! It was one of the three houses that now make up the Irish Jewish Museum in Walworth Road. Unfortunately, the Museum is now only open on Sundays, so we were not able to go inside...will definitely visit it next time we are in Dublin (and see if Jason is around as well)!!

Who would have thought that there was a relatively large Jewish population in Dublin?

Jason, our guide, was a wealth of information and made the walking tour incredibly enjoyable. We braved the rain as we walked through the area where the Jewish population (pardon this) congregated. He then took us to the Dublin Jewish Museum which was enlightening.

The one question we didn't ask - and we asked A LOT of questions - was, where did they go??? We did meet Mr. Spier, a member of the community, who was a pleasure to talk to.

Highly recommend this walking tour with Jason!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but it was great! Jason lead my husband and I through the history of Jewish Dublin and showed us where things used to be. You can imagine, hearing Jason's descriptions of how Jewish life was in Dublin. From the butcher that's now an ugly apartment building to the small neighborhood vibe, and ending with the Irish Jewish Museum. Such a unique experience -- I highly recommend it.
