Uncover clues, solve riddles and overcome obstacles to complete Ireland's newest and most thrilling escape room. Two games to choose from: SOS: 2 to 6 players. Your mission is to gather information, restore power to the boat and escape – before it’s too late! CONVICTS: for 4 to 10 players. You and your team are convicts, imprisoned on the good ship Zorg Ella. Using your wits, intelligence and teamwork, can you work together to escape before the ship departs for the colonies? - DJones2 contributionsExcellent unique fun experience! My husband and I have always enjoyed an escape room so when I saw the opportunity to try one, on a boat, a totally different concept to anything we'd tried before, I just couldn't resist. It did not disappoint! The storyline was brilliant, the game was challenging and fresh and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun activity!Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 5 February 2024
- Rob C1 contributionGreat Escape RoomGreat escape room. We did the Convicts game as a group of 4. Hosts Eoin and Una were great. Wished we were here in Dublin a little longer so we could try the other game, we will definitley book next time we visit Dublin.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 11 February 2024
- Liam C1 contributionEoghan the top ladGreat experience, had such a fun time even though we're a bit slow in the head. Eoghan made the experience the best it could've been, and was always just a button press away. Without him, we would probably still be on the boat.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 14 February 2024
- Charlie S3 contributionsBirthday bash on a boat!!!My girlfriend and I have done 10+ escape rooms together and by far this is my favourite and definitely in her top 2.the rooms were unique ,has fun elements that no other escape room has and really works with teamwork. Reka the goat helped me surprise my girlfriend for her birthday. I dropped off flowers the day before and she helped me pull it off (smoothly)! Thank you! Can’t wait for the next boat!!Visited February 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 February 2024

It was a fantastic few hours full of fun and intrigue. Eoghan was really helpful, friendly and brilliant at his job! This was my first escape room and it really set a standard. Good for the whole family although there are tight spaces to get through. Very challenging clues, great sound effects and Patrick our host was brilliant. - Sightsee5645291 contributionHighly recommend - for families too!We went as a family of 4 and did SOS - it was fantastic fun! Our boys loved it, as did we. The booking process and engagement on queries around bringing children were excellent. They were able to turn down the noises and the lads weren’t phased at all. Fiza was a fantastic game master - so clear, fun and enthusiastic. Fiza made it very special! Highly recommend it as a memorable activityVisited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 February 2024
- Kelly Rose K1 contributionFavourite escape room we’ve been to!My boyfriend and I went for his birthday and we really enjoyed it! Although we didn’t beat it and missed out by a few minutes it was still a great experience. Eoghan was a great game master! My boyfriend and I have done a couple escape rooms in the past and Eoghan was the most inviting and helpful we’ve had. Would 100% go back to do the Convict room for a change!Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 March 2024
- Cathy DDublin, Ireland11 contributionsAn immersive, almost submersive, family escapeIt was a great family outing, two parents and two teenagers. The hour flew by and we escaped by the skin of our teeth! Everyone was able to play their part in our escape. Fiza gave us really clear instructions and help. Only negative, was quite pricy at €120 for a family.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 March 2024

A group of us visited Escape Boats about a month ago to try Convicts and IT. WAS. AMAZING; totally immersive.
This weekend we decided to try SOS. It was one of our party's birthday and Marta and her crew could not have been more accommodating! The room, with its special effects, unique puzzles and production value is completely unsurpassed, in our opinion.
Escape Boats are a must! Go visit!

What a great way to spend an hour, well 57 minutes in our case! Excellent escape room with a wonderful host Marta (without the H). We had a great time and escaped with 3 minutes to spare. I would highly recommend this unusual escape room to the beginner or the seasoned escape roomer. Marta was a sensational host and was always on hand to offer clues not that we needed any LOL!

Extremely unique! They have really stepped the theatrics up a FEW notches with this one. About half of the puzzles are pretty straight forward, but this makes those few exceptions quite perplexing at first. I can see how groups (4+) would do much better than just a pair, but if you’re experienced, this one will give you a good go. Our GM (whose name began with an ‘M’ and I feel terrible for already forgetting) was there when we needed but didn’t provide more than was asked for. This was truly one to remember!

We played Escape Boats in Grand Canal Quay recently. We were a group of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We opted to do the Convicts game as one group. We were greeted by the very pleasant Marta and Myles who quickly explained the rules and got us started. Having previously done a number of other escape rooms we were unsure about this one as the boat seemed very small to house 2 games. How wrong we were! This is a carefully thought out escape room with a number of unique challenges we haven’t seen in other escape rooms. We had so much fun solving the Convicts game that we booked the SOS game immediately. This is equally challenging with a number of elements of surprise.
We were delighted to escape both rooms with the minimum number of hints.
We loved the enthusiasm of the staff, they were very engaging and helpful, the one hint we took on each game didn’t give us the answer, just gave us a steer in the right direction which we liked.
I’d definitely recommend this to novice and experienced escape room players!

Did this with a group of 5 for a friends birthday the other day. We all absolutely loved this escape room, the way they managed to utilize the space in the boat is incredible! All the puzzles and small attentions to detail are deadly! Grace was an amazing games master she was so kind and made the games alot of fun. I will definitely be back to do the other game!
If you are thinking about doing it though, i would recommend 5 people max (although you can have over that amount), it is a small space so more than 5 might get quite stressful!

We had a great Saturday completing the scenario as a team of 4. The puzzles were very clever: challenging enough to warrant thinking, but not "illogically" set as not to be able to solve them without receiving any clues. There is some suspense and the final puzzles have a surprising element to them. We did escape rooms in 2 other locations in Dublin and this was the best experience: realistic scenario elements and clever puzzles.

We have spent amazing time solving tasks and being fully into the story behind! Quests are really engaging, not too easy, so you need to actually think to solve them.
I completely recommend this experience if you're looking for either a team building activity or fun way to spend time with your friends.
And Marta, our contact person form the boat was THE BEST. Thank you for everything!

We were greeted by our game master Eoghan who was extremely friendly and gave us a run down of health and safety, providing us with cute blue hard hats to wear. He told us that we could ask for clues and that no question was a silly one which was very reassuring. Being without my usual escape buddy I was worried as my team had not done as many escape rooms as me; I have done about 150 whereas my two friends had done about 50 and 3. However, we absolutely smashed the escape boat without needing a clue! The room was linear which was great as I personally much prefer linear rooms to non-linear. It is quite difficult to review an escape room without giving spoilers, but with me being an enthusiast, I can't recommend this venue more. We did the SOS boat as we did not have the team to do the other one but it is insane how much space there is on the boat as it looks small from the outside which is very deceiving! The twist at the end was something I have never seen before in any of the 150 rooms I have completed. Once we escaped, we were greeted again by Eoghan who had a good chat with us which really finished off the escape nicely, as there is nothing better than a friendly GM who is willing to talk and have some banter. Quite often a GM can make or break an experience, and Eoghan really made it for us! Overall, I can't recommend this escape enough, it has made my boyfriend and I's holiday to Ireland even better!

Completed SOS, and enjoyed it so much that we returned to play Convicts later in the week.
The setting is truly unique and Escape Boats make very clever use of the tight space they have available. Great to see so many original props in use in the games. Staff clearly passionate about the history of their boat too.
We're an experienced pair (100+ rooms), and found the puzzles generally straightforward, but definitely well worth a visit for the experience!

Thanks so much for your feedback on our games. Delighted you enjoyed the props and space - always great to hear back from enthusiasts about the game. Sounds like the game may not have been as challenging as you wanted - we are working on an enthusiast version, with a higher level of complexity in the puzzles and gameplay. And we have some other exciting projects in the pipeline that you might be interested in - keep an eye out for developments! Thanks for playing!

From the start of our experience to the end Escape Boats delivered more than we could ever have expected. We were a group of 3 girls and were going in not expecting much and not too pushed on whether we escaped or not but once inside the Zorg Ella the attention to detail of the game completely swept us up. There’s one point in particular so immersive that the three of us genuinely were talking after about it for the day. Eoghan was so friendly and always knew when to push us along without ruining the surprise and we were surprised to escape in 50 minutes! 110% would recommend I haven’t stopped thinking about it since

Hi is the boat / rooms easy accessible for someone with limited fitness or mobility issues. Not disabled just bad knees thanks
Written 12 May 2023
There is at least one Room where one of you have to crawl on your knees. The others wont have to, once you’ve opened the secret door.
You do have to go Down into the boat via 5 steps. And the same to go up again.
Written 13 May 2023
Hi just wondering do you feel like you are on a boat or on a river at all as in does it sway or anything?
Written 14 January 2023
No, it didn’t when I went anyway. It’s a docked boat in a pretty sheltered area. If it’s exceptionally windy for whatever reason, it might be different but overall I didn’t feel like I was moving. The spaces are small and sometimes have a small slant because of the design of the boat but that’s part of the fun!
