We made our first trip to Ireland this year and wanted to see as much of the country as possible. There were 5 adults in our group. Renting a vehicle was not feasible. And we did not want to take big bus tour. Big John operates Silver Service and I highly recommend you book with Big John if you want to see Ireland. We planned 9 days total in Ireland. We stayed in the Temple Bar area of Dublin our first 3 nights. Great location to see city. You can walk everywhere. Then we hired Big John to drive us to other towns in the country side. Big John has a fantastic personality. Funny. Makes lots of jokes. Very knowledgeable with everything Ireland. Knows all the back roads and best routes to get around Ireland. And Big John is an excellent and safe driver. We just sat back and enjoyed the scenery. No stress. Big Johns vehicle is clean, very comfortable and in great mechanical shape. He was on time every morning. Big John was our personal tour guide and did everything possible to make sure we enjoyed our Ireland trip. We never could have seen as much as we did in 5 days with Big John using any other mode of transportation. Big John was a major reason we loved our trip to Ireland. Highly recommend Big John and Silver Service.

We had an amazing journey throughout Ireland June 2023 with Silver Service. Big John picked us up at the Dublin airport on day 1 and made sure we were set for the Dublin stay for our trip. We then joined Big John for a 5-day excursion taking us to Cork, Kinsale, Killarney and eventually Galway. Big John helped us plan our trip so that we could visit various points of interest throughout each day. Some of our most memorable experience included swimming in the Irish Sea, visiting Inch Beach, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs and stops in amazing places such as Dingle and of course all things along the Wild Atlantic Way.

I've used Big John and Silver Service twice now, a few years apart - once with friends and most recently with my daughter for her birthday trip. Touring with Silver Service is like traveling with an Irish friend! You instantly feel connected to the people and places you'll encounter. I also enjoyed the vehicle being a van as opposed to a sedan so you can see out and not get road weary. There's no one else in Ireland as knowledgeable or fun as Big John!

My family Had a good time with John for the tour. Very friendly and ensuring that we are taken care and had fun. He brought us to beautiful places. Taking private tour really the best way to visit Northen Ireland although is just for 1 day as it is more personalized to our pace. Thank you John

We were in Ireland May 22-27, 2023. John picked us up promptly and we began our tour. John is as knowledgeable as he is personable. He ensured we were able to do everything that we wanted to and kept us ahead of the larger tour buses. He knew all the great spots to stop and made recommendations for meals that were superb. He kept conversation flowing and shared about life in Ireland. I highly recommend Silver Service to anyone!

My friend and I were told about Silver Service from a friend so decided to book for our 50th birthday celebrations. Liam was our driver for 7 days. He was a wealth of knowledge and took us to the most beautiful sites. Highly recommend to use this service. Very comfortable and reliable especially for those new to Ireland like me.

I went on a day trip to several historic sites outside Dublin with ny parents — Big John was our wonderful, witty, and charismatic tour guide. He’s a big dude (ex-rugby!), but his personality might be even bigger. We joked around and drove around all day past lush green farmlands dotted with sheep, cows, and centuries-old buildings — Big John gave us a great glimpse into Ireland’s past, without bogging us down with too much information (my history-junkie dad thought there was room for a touch more lecture, but, I quite enjoyed what we had!). He let us explore Bru Na Boinne on our own for a few hours, and then was waiting for us when we got out to take us to another site and drive us back to Dublin. We learned some absolutely essential facts about Irish culture, including what not to call a certain trendy bag accessory of the 90s… Anyway, book this guy! He’s giving fun uncle history channel vibes. Enjoy!

Big John is awesome with the personality to match his size 😂! Even after our tour John has been helpful! I order jewelry from one of stops and they never sent it and stopped responding. I reached out to John and he was right on it! He reached out and I received a tracking number in less than 48 hours with a free necklace. John becomes family that’s for sure. Thanks John for everything!!

Big John embodies the heart, soul, and character of Ireland. Every day with John was better than the day before. While traveling thru the countryside of Ireland, John gave us the history and stories of our Irish heritage. For four of the six in our group, this was their first trip to Ireland. John exemplified the warmth and humor of the Irish people. We couldn't have had a better time and the Crunchies and Kit Kat snacks were much appreciated! The Big John Travelers

We cannot recommend Big John enough, he made our trip amazing. I have a large family, there was going to be 6 of us traveling. After looking into car rental reviews I realized it was going to be tough to find a car that fit all of us, and as an American I was worried about driving in Ireland. I stumbled upon a review for John's service and was sold. Between gas and insurance and stress of driving in a foreign country, it was far worth it to hire John. I had a rough outline of what we wanted to do and see and he filled in the rest with things I would have never thought of. John was incredibly accommodating, and made every day fun and memorable. We all learned a lot, got tips on really great things to do, and our trip was a hundred times better because of him. We traveled with John for a week and it was amazing. All stress was removed from the trip and all I had to do was sit back and and enjoy Ireland.
