About
Located in the Liberties area, the Artisan Brew Academy is surrounded by hundreds of years of Irish brewing and distilling culture. We are a unique brewing academy that offers beer making experiences. Each one lasts 3 hours . Ours is a hands on experience. We take a bag of grain and turn it into beer, and you are with us all the way. Come and taste some of the amazing craft beers that we have produced . And when you're done, we are situated only blocks away from the world famous Guinness brewery, Pearse Lyons Distillery, Roe Distillery, Teelings Distillery, and The Brazen Head, one of the oldest pubs in all of Ireland.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Started late while we waited on a group of 3. Literally watched water boil. Speaker interesting, but really should have a script and set time points for items. Lost count of the times he said "I forgot to tell you this". Tempature probe broken - took 20 mins to figure out it needed a new battery. Various tools mislaid, no excuse for that. Session was to be from 14.00 to 17.00. After the late start the first group of 3 left at 15.30 - ironically the ones we had waited on. The 2 of us left with another couple at 16.00, when we were told it looked like we would have to run on well past 17.00. That left 4 of the 11 there... The subject was interesting but could be so much better, totally unprofessional. Place also needs a clean.

We had a fantastic time with the crew in the Artisan Brew Academy, Don has a great set-up and we thoroughly our time there, some of the best laughs we've had in ages. Tasty beers, some samples of wine and a bit of education on the whole process, top class, especially if you're a group like us looking for an afternoon activity when on a stag party and something a little different from the normal run of activities around, highly recommend!!

We had a brilliant delayed Christmas night out in March! Don and his team put on a great night. It was great to learn all about the brewing techniques and obviously the tasting of the various beers was a big plus for everyone. Half time pizzas from The Lab were delicious too.

Great way to spend an afternoon in Dublin. Very informative on the beer making process. Completely laid back & great craic. Plenty of beer to sip on while the brewing takes place. Got to meet some great people and enjoyed hearing new stories from around the world. Would definitely recommend for couples and groups. We had a great day!

To anyone looking for a fun, class and original time with a good group of friends or on your toddy, I HIGHLY advise you to come here. I had my hen here and it was absolutely perfect. Everyone felt at ease and we got to play a lot of fun games. We were a group of 15 hens and had a great time with a group of stags. Go here! Best couple of hours you will spend :D

I went to the Artisan Brew Academy as part of my Stag Do. Don and has team made sure I had a really good time on my Stag, they are extremely friendly and you can be sure of a warm welcome on arrival. The team provided a fantastic insight into the Beer making process and the different ingredients used, they also coordinated some fantastic drinking games where I ended up taking on a couple of drinking challenges with someone on their Hen Party... pretty wild and extremely good fun!

Nice afternoon making beers, large group of people also celebrating their birthday. All you can drink ale and stout on tap, I don't drink ale so they cracked open a bottle of home brewed unlabelled wine for me which was very nice to taste. They also supplied complimentary pizza and chips to soak up some of the alcohol which was a very nice touch, and a birthday cake. Martin and Addison very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend

Loved every moment of our workshop held by Martin and Don. Made sure everyone had a drink at every moment and even had wine for some of us who weren’t beer drinkers.
Can’t recommend enough, especially if you’re in Dublin, want good value for money and can handle a drink.
