This tour exceeded my expectations, and my expectations were already sky high. Our guide and driver, Damian, spent the ride time educating us in great detail about periods of Irish history, especially the Neolithic societies. We understood more deeply what we were seeing as we...More

My research shows that there is no other tour company out of Dublin that offers the above itinerary - all 4 must-experience spots - and critically, Newgrange with Day Tours Unplugged includes going INSIDE the 3200BC passage tomb, not just wandering around the Visitor's Center....More

We went on the Newgrange, Monasterboice, Hill of Slane and Hill of Tara day tour. I loved that this is a small group tour and not a huge tour bus like many other tour companies I looked into. We booked this tour primarily because we...More

We just returned from a day tour of Newgrange, Monasterboice, Hill of Slane and Hill of Tara with our guide Martin. Even though only three of us booked, the tour went ahead and we had the luxury of the full attention of our guide, who...More

Many thanks for your feedback. Whilst I fully understand your disappointment at missing the tour. The review outlined by you simply is not accurate. You booked your tour online. You received a tour confirmation for the tour date you booked 5th September 2018. As you...More

Deciding to do this small, family run tour while in Dublin was one of the best choices we made on our trip. Only 12 people in the van allowed for a more personal experience. Damien is such an engaging and knowledgable guide who truly loves...More

We did the Newgrange tour with Damien. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the tour. This five star review doesn't even take into account my opinion of Newgrange (I'd have to give that 10 stars out of 5). We took two small...More

Newgrange, Monasterboice, and Hill of Tara was a great way to spend the day. Martin was awesome! He explained everything to us. We were a small group, only 11 of us. Newgrange was magnificent! Monasterboice was beautiful. Hill of Tara was moving. Martin gave us...More

Martin was a great guide—knowledgeable and easygoing! Bring good walking shoes and be prepared for rain and/or shine as much of the day is spent outdoors.

This was a perfect small group tour. You do not have to worry about cramped large buses. The tour guide was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. This is the only tour around that covers both Newgrange and Monasterboice. Newgrange is the crown jewel of the tour...More
