Craft beers and traditional irish music and singing. Can be hard to get near the musicians corner but there's a great atmosphere. Attracts some tourists but nowhere near as bad as temple bar. A good experience.

My Irish wife and I were in Dublin for a few days at the tail end of a month's holiday in Ireland from our home in Australia. We had already encountered several music and song sessions in pubs that were clearly catering primarily for tourists....More

Off the beaten path a bit but not far, just across the Liffey River north in Smithfield. The crowds ebbed and flowed all evening, the musicians were in the front of the pub and had an area for those who wanted to listen and watch....More

There was singing as well. A couple people were there just to sing traditional songs, some a'cappella and some with musicians there. Have fun. Amazing place!

I'd give it a google or ring the pub, but would be surprised if they didn't allow children in.
