Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent tour. Highly informative- loved learning about Ireland- history, geography, geology and political history. Great lunch and loved the guided walk at the monastic city at Glendalough. The scenery was incredible everywhere we drove.

Anthony treated us to a wonderful day outside Dublin enjoying the countryside. We learned about harvesting turf and visited Glendalough. Anthony took us on nice walks and explained everything in great detail. The cheese plate at lunch was excellent value. Anthony was even so nice as to drop us back off at the port in time for the last tender to our ship. 5 star outing and service. Thank you!

Great you enjoyed the day. Many passengers are now coming from the cruise ships to do the Wild Wicklow Tour as the pickup is so near Dunlaoghaire port.

This ia a fantastic way to see the incredible green glens, ancient sites and beautiful countryside of Ireland! Our guide, friendly and cheerful, Anthony gave us many local tidbits of information and the history of Ireland as we drove through the hilltop sites in a very comfortable bus which accommodated about 20 people. This small number allowed us to visit sites not accessible by the big tour buses.
It was a full day with 4-5 stops and plenty of photos opportunities. This tour is suitable for all ages providing walking a few miles is not a problem. Our day was perfect, finishing with a taste of Jameson and a toast to our good health and a speedy return to Ireland!

Great to hear you had a fantastic day and thought the smaller bus was more capable to visit the sites than the large tour coaches used by others.

My goal in taking the tour was getting some history of the area and some beautiful photos. The Wicklow tour is run rain or shine. It rained all day and was foggy with low clouds. Our guide was left with describing what we would have seen if the weather were nice. I was disappointed with the lack of photo opportunities. Don’t go on a rainy day if you’re looking for good scenery.

Our guide, Niles, did a good job of explaining the history around Dublin and Ireland. he was entertaining and full of interesting facts.

Unfortunately the weather isn't within our control, but I'm glad you said Niall did a good job and you were still entertained. If you were not happy to travel on the day you should have contacted us to move to another day if you were available.

We enjoyed letting a qualified driver and guide to take the lead on this tour as lots of narrow roads and parking needed to see the sights.
Patrick did a fine job of balancing information with some times to just relax and enjoy the sights. Patience was needed and he indeed had that in spades!
Great variety of stops. Long day but great value for the cost of tours in other countries!

Nice trip to Wicklow mountains and Glendalough. The Whiskey Tasting was just a sip in the bus without further explanation or information. We booked a Jameson tour afterwards.
I expected more walking, but ok that time frame it’s just not possible.

Yes the primary tour is the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough but it's already a full day of activity, so as you said there not much spare time to fit in add in any further walking time.

This excellent tour was recommended to us by the Le Routard guide. It offers a lot of sites to see in one day, with some very beautiful landscapes. The timing allows you to take your time, particularly at Glendalough, which is a very beautiful site to visit if you're in Dublin or the surrounding area.
Patrick was an excellent driver and guide, giving lots of interesting informations all day long and teaching you a lot about Ireland.
We highly recommend it.

A terrific visit to the countryside! Amazing scenery, Patrick our driver was the best! We had beautiful visits to Kilkenny Hill, Avoca (awesome shopping), Glendalough, the Wicklow National forest, with a great traditional Irish lunch added in. Highly recommend this experience!

Pat is the best! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and informative. I would recommend this tour for all ages. There is some walking on an incline so be prepared with good shoes.

The tour was totally worth it. We were lucky with the weather, and if you are the views are amazing. There were multiple stops on the mountain road, and there was enough time to enjoy these. These were the highlight too.
Our guide Anthony did tell a lot of interesting stories and was very helpful, and it was fine to return later because there was lot of traffic. It was nice that it is a smaller bus.
Slainte!
