I walked this park before starting my long day exhibiting at the National Craft Fair In The RDS. The sun had just risen above the lake on a beautiful frosty morning giving a glorious look to the trees around and the fallen leaves. Just beautiful. The walkways, suitable for all forms of accessibility were well maintained and very popular with... More

Just returned from a weekend at the Herbert Park staying in an exec suite on 5th floor. We had booked a party of 6 into the dining room for dinner and the bar was buzzing with rugby fans so we were a little worried the service would be slow. Everything was superb from presentation of food to the quanity of... More

I have great memories of visiting this park, from my youngest years to now.popular with nearby workers and families. Quite busy but also peaceful. Spoiled for choice with so many public parks in Dublin.

Beautiful sunny Sunday spot! Delicious food available. Falafel and kebab tent, Crepe tent are my favourites (Belgium chocolate and marshmallow crepe and Lamb&Falafel wrap/plate. Yummy!) There are also options for organic veggies to take home, burger and steak sandwich, cupcakes, icecream, Korean food, Italian pasta tent, so on. Take your book and picnic blanket and head to Herbert Park on... More

Herbert park is the perfect place for a Sunday stroll or even for a quick lunch break in the park. It's well looked after with beautiful blossom trees that bloom in spring. Always a nice crowd of people here and great atmosphere on a summers day. There is a pond with some ducks to entertain the kids. Beautiful place!

First a little bit of history: "Herbert Park is named after Sidney Herbert (1810-1861), the father of the Earl of Pembroke who, in 1903, offered the site to Pembroke... More
