We had a nice trip on Donegal Waterbus. It was pleasant to experience Donegal Bay on the water. We did feel that it could have been a far better experience however. The sound system was not sufficiently loud enough to be heard over the sound of the engines and water. This could be improved. The staff seemed pleasant but not particularly interested or enthusiastic about making the trip special for tourists. As regards COVID guidelines, sanitiser was available and masks were required until we were in open water at least. There was reduced capacity on board and staff did seat us appropriately. However, in the toilets, there was a regular towel which seemed to show a lack on understanding of COVID risks.

Interesting tour of the bay. Knowledgeable staff. Was a chilly day, but there was plenty of room inside. Had to go to the top deck for photographs of the scenery.

the scenery was beautiful but our boat was very crowded with a party of German tourists so we had to stand up for most of the trip. The only free area was at the back of the boat near the engine so it was impossible to hear the commentary. Despite these inconveniences, I would still recommend this trip as it was a unique experience to see Donegal Bay and we did getto see some seals and interesting birds. Some live traditional music on the return journey.

Advise to check the day before and book. Tides dictate the times and we only had a 6pm available that day.

Booked a late afternoon trip round the bay last week. It was very good fun and thankfully the showers stayed away for our trip following days of rain and high winds. Beautiful scenery and a very informative guide telling us all about the bay. He also plays the keyboard, sings and cracks jokes throughout but sure you're in Ireland and it's all part of the craic. We really enjoyed it, such a good laugh and some really lovely sights around the bay. Sadly we didn't get to see any seals, but maybe next time.
