We had a wonderful experience shopping in this little craft village. Kevin Kavanagh, The potter, was a delight, and we purchased several items from him, is unique and beautiful. The coffee shop there had outstanding pastries and presentation, and I wish we had been hungry because the lunches looked amazing. The glass door also has some unusual items that I’ve not seen before. A few of the shops were closed, but we were there late shoulder season.

Definitely worth a visit to find something besides Irish knitwear and hats.

Second trip and never a disappointment!! Several artisans were at work and willing to discuss their work. Prices are fair and maybe a bit low for the quality.

Stylish and simplistic printing well worth a visit. From cards to posters no computers are used. Old style letters and presses. True crafts person at work. Unique prints from wooden or metal letters to lino prints. A must for the unusual print.

This site consists of a group of workrooms of assorted artisans. The setup is ideal for the people who create and show their work there. The only reason for the low rating is that only a few of the workroom/shops were open when we were there.

At first the place was pretty underwhelming. There were no other tourists and with one of the shops empty there wasnt much to see.

That being said, we had a great chat with the guy at the jewelry shop. He gave us tips on what to do in the area and was just a lovely dude to talk to.

The glass shop is equally fascinating. The art and gifts were diverse and high quality. We spent quite a while just browsing.

Our favourite however was the printing press place. I loved the designs and style, and the press itself is awesome. Couldnt resist buying something! The girl behind the counter (artist's daughter) was very warm and friendly too.

The weaver, the glass-maker, the silversmith and the letterpress operator we're interesting people, working at their crafts and happy to answer questions about apprenticing or going to art school. Oddly, there are also some art galleries of a lower order of artistry.

We bought from and talked with the weaver, silversmith and letterpress operator, and also bought from the glass maker. We also recommended them to others we're traveling with, who went on their own buying trips, echoing our reviews.

It is so nice to buy art directly from the artist so that you can get their interpretations of the piece. I bought several pieces that I love and that remind me of my trip to Donegal.

We stopped off here on the way back to Ballyshannon, it is quite a small attraction but with genuine artisans creating quality works in their individual studios.
Not all were open on the Friday afternoon that we dropped by but we enjoyed looking at their work and they were busy creating, not pushing you to buy anything which was a relief.
There were glass, metal, sculpture, paintings, weaving and feltwork being made, prices were in keeping with the quality, no tourist tat here!
Worth a look!
