He showed up in a beautiful, comfortable, spacious, 8 passenger, Mercedes van. We were in this same van for the 3 day tour. Right away we liked Henry as he is very personable and quite funny!
Our 3 day tour began in Galway and headed towards our accommodations in Donegal where we would stay for 3 days. Our itinerary each day was customized by Henry, as to see many gorgeous sights along the way, such as Knox Shrine and Glencar Waterfall for example.
It was so great not having to worry about driving and wasting precious time figuring out what route to go and what to see. Henry took care of all of that for us. It was completely stress free and relaxing.
I would highly recommend booking at least two days minimum. We booked 3 days and wanted to see as much of Donegal as we could. Donegal is breathtaking! We saw so much in our 3 days with Henry. My husband and I felt the tour of Donegal could have continued on as there was more to see. My kids (ages 9,11&13) enjoyed the tour as well but by the end of Day 3 they were ready to hang out at the hotel and do some shopping in town.
There were plenty of toilet stops along the way and many stops for photo opportunities.
We visited Slieve League, the entire Inishowen Peninsula (Malin Head), Muckross Head, Donegal Town-just to name a few. He also worked the best lunch stops into our itinerary. ( Glencar Teashed, Nancys Barn, The Blueberry Tearooms)
Henry is a local who grew up in Donegal and he did not disappoint. I can’t say enough about Henry at Donegal Tour Guide. He covers all tours in Ireland, not just Donegal and can accommodate groups of all sizes. He went above and beyond our expectations. By the end of our tour, Henry felt like a part of our family.
