Marie Gallagher was a fabulous tour guide for our tour of Killybegs and it’s harbor, Fintragh Bay (beautiful beach), Slieve League (where we walked and devoured fresh lobster rolls), and Donegal towne. She was easy to understand and has a charming relaxed style. She is a native of the area and shared stories of her antics as a child, stories of Irish folklore, she has a wonderful sense of humor and she is a true historian! A day spent touring with the private guide Marie Gallagher was the best Ireland can offer. Marie was absolutely the best...we were given the experience of a life time. Our time was well spent under the care of Marie...not only did she know the history but gave a personal touch filled with childhood memories and a little bit of "how things used to be". I would give 6 stars if I could! Michael and his team were recommended by our hotel and I’m so glad we were able to go with them! So much better than trying to rent a car and drive yourself. Michael was wonderful to work with; made scheduling easy and very transparent with pricing and extremely professional- and kind. Our drivers Joe and Paul were the best! Provided safe and timely transport with so much useful and interesting information about the area. It was like being able to get a tour and enjoyable education as part of the service. We learned so much about the area. Really no better way to travel. Nicest people on the planet. And the vehicles are top notch clean comfortable and stylish. A ride with these folks will cure you of any jet lag and best way to be welcomed to Ireland

Paul Greene picked up our family of four from a hotel in Dublin, and took us on an amazing journey across Ireland to Donegal Town. Paul was a wonderful guide, and shared so many interesting stories and sights along the way. He helped us search for family gravestones, took us to Sliabh Liag, along with many other beautiful sights. The whole team was very helpful and friendly including a evening pickup from a local pub, and the trip back to Dublin for our flight. Thank you!!

Had the time of our lives on the Wild Atlantic Way tour with Paul as our guide. Countless views, photos and laughs along the way. This was a luxury Mercedes sedan with a very knowledgeable guide. Highly recommend!

Michael and Marie Gallagher were fantastic to work with and provided my husband and myself with four days of services. They were recommended to us by Lough Eske Castle where we stayed for four nights. Paul Greene picked us up from Adare Manor transporting us to Lough Eske Castle with touring along the way stopping at Yeats Grave/Drumcliffe church, Classiebawn Castle and other scenic sites. Paul provided us with lots of information about the region, and Paul also transported us to Belfast at the end of our stay with great touring to Giant's Causeway and along the Antrim coast. Michael transported my husband back and forth to golf, and we spent a delightful touring day with Marie exploring the Donegal region. Michael and Marie were a pleasure to work with organizing our first trip to Donegal. We enjoyed our time with them and the region so much we plan to return next year with more touring with Donegal Chauffeur Travel!

Marie was absolutely a joy! She went above and beyond and helped me not only find my grandmothers birth home but a family member. With very little information she did the research and provided me with original documents which she left with me. Further she was patient and kind and a lovely travel companion. I am so happy to have finally found Donegal Travel as exchanges with prior tour guides almost discouraged me from this lovely discovery into my heritage.

We were on an ancestry search for our paternal grandparents. We sent Marie some cursory information about my grandfather and she did an amazing job of researching for us. She took us to the area where he was born (at the causeway to Inch Island) and had contacted some of the current residents, one of whom we spoke with, and he had some distant memories of our family. We also toured the local graveyard where two of my grandfather’s siblings were interred. We had a full tour of the Inshowen Peninsula as well. Marie was very generous with her time and local knowledge. We would give her the highest marks for providing us with an excellent tour that fully fulfilled our expectations!

We were picked up on time from our campsite in Donegal by Marie our chauffeur for our private tour of the coastal areas near Donegal. Marie was extremely professional and informative. Her knowledge of the area helped add to the experience. Nothing was too much trouble and we were given many opportunities to stop and take photos of the incredible scenery. The highlight of our tour was Slieve League Cliffs and Marie, because of her tourist licence, was able to take us closer up to the cliff edge in the car whereas other visitors had to make the long walk uphill from the main car park. It was a blustery day and we were very grateful for this as we are senior citizens and both recovering from recent health problems. At the end of our trip Marie dropped us off in Donegal town centre and offered to come back later and give us a free ride back to our campsite for which we were also very grateful.
