About
This is a new pet farm which my husband and I discovered in Letterkenny two weeks ago while holidaying with our 2 children. This farm was excellent value for money and the outdoor play area for kids was fantastic. They have an indoor area for birds, rabbites, guinea pigs, chipmunks and a large outdoor area which has pigs, bores, a lama. There is also a small tea room and the staff there were very nice and came out in the rain to show my children how to use the large tyre slide. I will definetly be going back and am delighted we found this attraction as we visit Letterkenny quite often.

We spent from 10am to almost 3pm here on Thursday of this week. The boys were exhausted they enjoyed it so much.
This place is perfect for families with small children. They also do partys.
There is a large water slide, barrel ride pulled by a tractor, short pony rides, bouncing castles, pool tables, large sand pits, large play areas and more.
The toilets were immaculate the place was well kept and there is a cafe too.
If you are unhappy with this place then you are very hard to please.

Fantastic Day spent at Lurgybrack pet Farm. So much to do for our 5, 3 and 1 year old. From playing in the sand to bouncing on the outdoor pillow and trampoline, feeding the animals during a lovely walk around. Inflatable obsticale course. Large water slide. Everything was brilliant, full day well spent and very good value

This place is such a great find! It is close to Letterkenny, so easily accesible but with the feel of the country. We went on a rainy day but there was so much to do with a wide range of kids, from very young to teenagers. Feeding the animals was great fun as was the water trye slide and the indoor area for when it was wet. Being able to bring your picnic is fantastic but oyu can also get a decent coffee and good hot food. My kids were there from about 10 in the morning until 4pm and they did not want to leave! They have amenities there that you would otherwise have to pay an additional charge for in other places. The variety of things to do is brilliant. £8 is money very well spent. Would highly highly reccommend and the staff are very helpful.

Love, love, love this place!
I've been here a few times now, everytime the kids love it so much, but it's also great for the adults.
We would often plan to meet with other families (cousins, etc) and it's brilliant! Very laid atmosphere, you are able to bring in your own picnic which is brilliant.
You can let the kids run around with lots of freedom and choice of what to do - great for so many ages. The mix of park and animals makes it perfect for types and ages.
Love the genuine, non assuming feel of the place - €8 for a full day of fun is a great price!
Would highly recommend!

We visit yesterday. Started off really impressed. Entrance is beautiful but it went downhill very quickly.

Apart from the general area not being maintained the animals here are not being looked after.

The first animal we came across was a pig, it’s enclosure is so over grown with nettles that it can only go around the outside. Fresh water, non existent.

The next field had a lama and 2 goats. All lying down and even trying to entice them over with the food that we bought at the gate they still remained lying down. The reason was then evident, when one of the goats slowly got up and limped over to us. It’s hooves in such incredibly bad condition. All cracked right up through, it’s was so gentle but kept moving from foot to foot because of the pain.

You then walk down the path, and for another 600m or so with absolute no direction and nothing to see, it’s just a storage area from broken sheds!!

The pony ride then is so bad. Round in a circle once for 2e. I brought the condition of the goat up with the team at this point and was told it was nothing to do with them and to speak to Patrick!

Pony was not offered water after observing for 45mins. Can’t imagine what it was like for it last week.

Deer enclosure is so small and dirty. Their hooves needed to be treated also.

The other animals look so miserable and don’t want to interact what so ever… most just lying down. Even with the temptation of food!

All of the enclosures have issues and the animals are not even being given the basic care that is needed.

I’ve been to so many pet farms with my kids but never have I came across one like this.

Playground is okay but good again not maintained, broken toys in sand pit etc.

I have sent Gerard O Loan an email, no reply back. Yet he was quick enough to reply when we asked re tickets! I’ve now gone ahead and contacted other bodies so that suffering is no longer seen at lurgybrack.

The pandemic has been hard on all, money is clearly the aim here but animals shouldn’t be made to suffer.

I hope that if you do still go ahead and visit that you ensure that you raise concerns if still visable.

Great playground facilities, we barely saw any animals though the kids weren’t too interested in looking for them. €2 per pony ride for a tiny circle, bit saucy !! Must be the best paid pony in the land ! Kids enjoyed the tractor ride and water slide, I would return for playground facilities if in the area again.

Visited the farm recently and thought it has great play facilities. However I noticed that the animals did not have drinking water. The drinkers were dry and dirty and it was a scorching hot day. The pigs had no trees for shelter and they were lying in the hot sunshine. It was sad to see. The sheep did not even have a drinker and they were not sheared and were breathing heavily with the heat and no shelter. Apart from that the cafe, toilets and shop were clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loose the animals and just call yourselves a playground. Very little animals not very well kept sad to see a sheep just about hanging in there.. Not even sheared it was sad really... Animals didn't seem happy.. The Highland cow knew how to use her horns.. Id be annoyed and angry too living on a "farm" like that... Yous should just have a fairy trail and call yourselves a fairy trail garden and playground.. Much better use of the space rather than seeing the animals unhappy. Kids enjoyed the playground but wouldn't be back in a hurry... Oh and no social distancing or limited numbers as it was packed.
