Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Popped into costa downstairs in merchants quay shopping centre to grab a morning coffee and a cheese and tomato toastie for breakfast before setting off shopping. Service was very fast efficient and friendly and we sat in lovely comfortable armchairs . My toastie was beautiful and full of flavour and not like your normal cheese and tomato toastie. It was more of a tomato and herb sauce that you,d get on a top class pizza , it was devine and it was covered with a béchamel sauce and more cheese on top. Absolutely delicious in fact so tasty we went back there for refreshments and lunch when we finished our shopping. Lovely place with plenty of seating.

probably good when it was new, really inadequate toilets, for the whole centre tiny toilet facility that you would find in a small cafe. They benefit from being attached to a multi-storey. Wouldn't go back.

I went into this coffee store on Wednesday 4th July. I was pushing for time but took my place in the queue. There was another couple came in after me. The gentleman sat down and the woman queued. She knew one of the staff and gave her order to her. While we were all queuing her order was sorted she had to go to the front of queue to pay. When it was my turn I gave my order and said that it was unfair that someone else was able to skip when the rest of us had to wait. She just mumbled something. Then as she handed me my coffee, she said rather Sarcastically that she hoped they didn’t take up to much of my day having to queue. Now really was that really necessary as they were in the wrong. As I work in Debenhams I used to go there a lot but not any more

My parking experience was very disappointing, as i had leave the car overnight due to a puncture, having to pay 50€ instead of 4€. I tried to explain the situation first thing the following morning, but they did not care.

Also, the access, exit, and parking spaces are very narrow.

Since we were pressed for time when we visited Cork City, we visited Merchants Quay shopping center. Nothing extraordinary but has an assortment of shopping and dining options.

Shopped at the Dunnes Store in the Merchant Quay and purchased clothing that was fairly priced for what we got.
Many other stores throughout though rather limited in personal shopping but plenty of food stores

This is a typical shopping center one would see anywhere in the world. As a tourist it had just what we wanted; i.e., a M&S so I could buy some wine and an Irish gift shop to buy some trinkets for the grandkids. In addition, benches were available for us to relax and have a bite to eat.
