Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I played golf today 13 holes on this golf course which I love. I had won a three ball here from a previous visit and decided to bring my three grandsons for a game.
I had to buy a green fee for my 12 year old grandson and was charged 20 Euro for 13 holes which I thought was a bit overpriced. Especially when an adult who was served before me was charged 10 Euro for 9 holes.
My distinct impression here was that kids were definitely not welcome here as I asked to hire a buggy and was told there were no buggies allowed, yet the group in front of me and at least one other group we met on the course had buggies. This ruined what should have been a lovely day out for my grandsons

What a wonderful place to hold a wedding! From our first meeting with Louise (pre Covid) to our fantastic day yesterday (31/07/20) nothing was too much trouble. Louise and Lynn made the planning of a wedding in the middle of such a strange year, such a breeze. Then entire staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly and fun. But it has to be said that the food (oh my God the food) compared to nothing I ever encountered at a wedding before! There aren't words to describe what a special place and staff the Lee Valley is made up of.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. Was looked after by Louise for the entire meal and she was extremely accommodating and lovely. Beautiful surroundings and asked could we go to the patio after our meal and were looked after from start to finish.

Such a nice golf course but we were treated like rubbish by the receptionist who thought he was a someone important. Rude and had no manners. It ruined our day out. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!!!!

Family and I spent four very nice nights at the Lee Valley Golf and Country Club. We stayed in their Condo's that have four bedrooms and three baths. The Condo was very, very clean and the furnishings were excellent, everyone enjoyed the down comforters. The Country Club consists of a Club House, the golf coarse and 15-20 Condo's. It is roughly 20-25 minute drive west of City Centre Cork. We found the location good for touring the area. It was a short drive to Cork, Kinsale and Cobh and about one hour drive to Killarney area. It was a little to cold to play golf during our stay but the coarse looked very nice, Christy O'Connor Jr. design. We found the Bar/restaurant on site to be a nice place to have dinner, try the homemade desserts, and watch some sports on their big screen televisions, I still call it soccer, not football as the patrons told me. The people at the Club were all very friendly and made you feel welcomed. Claire, even arranged for a horseback riding trip for the family. If you are looking for a nice, quiet time in the country at a very freindly location then I would recommend you give it a try.

I visited with a large family group for an occasion. We waited 1.5 hours from when we sat down to get any food. A 3 year old child in our group was the very last to be served, no consideration was given. There was very little explanation or apologies as to why there was such a big delay as we had our booking made with weeks.
The food was OK but with overtired and over hungry children, the experience was tainted.
I would definitely not recommend for big groups.

I have been to the Lee Valley numerous times at this stage for various different reasons- I once stayed in one of their guesthouses which I could not fault in the slightest. It was very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean.
However, I usually go there with friends for drinks or dinner and I am never disappointed. My favourite dish on their menu is the chicken madras curry which you can get with rice/chips or both. I always get both and it is a big feed and very tasty. I have also tried the prawns tempura (divine!) as well as the chocolate cake (soo good!!) Friends of mine adore the cheesecake, but I am just not a lover of cheesecake anyway. The service at the Lee Valley is always exceptional and you can be sure you will be well looked after. It is a place which has the personal touch and the staff are always very busy but always there to say hello and have a little chat. They also do some great deals occasionally - their most recent was 2 meals for the price of one for the month of November. All in all, I would highly recommend, for a friendly get together, a family meal, a lunch etc.

Staff really friendly and helpful. 2 for 1 offer is a great incentive for Jan and Feb. Beef curry was excellent. Good value for money. Lovely atmosphere and the open fire is lovely on a wet and windy evening. Great selection of red wine by the glass. Very child friendly. Look forward to a return visit. Huge choice on the menu with both traditional options and oriental options. Lovely setting with a cosy and warm atmosphere.
