About
"Serving the people of cork since 1849" Costigan's Traditional Irish pub is without doubt one of Cork's oldest and finest pubs, nestled in the heart of Washington Street, Cork City. What began as a Fish Mongers, then became a coach house and years later a sweet shop, it blossomed into the charming pub that it is today. Through the centuries it has retained its Irish character. It is an old style public house with its long bar counter, snug and parlour area; not to mention the open fire and heated beer garden. With an extensive local whiskey and gin selection from Cork and the rest of Ireland, Costigan's Traditional Irish Pub is the perfect setting to enjoy a drink or two. Costigan's stunning individual architecture provides the ideal atmosphere to enjoy one of Ireland's most traditional pubs. Céad Míle Fáilte!

I booked an area with Colm and he made everything so relaxed and easy. We went to Costigans after we got married with all our friends and family. The staff on the day were excellent, so friendly and helpful. The finger food was delicious. It was a great day. Thanks again.

Fantastic Pub!!!!!

My family and I spent 2 weeks in Ireland and one of those days was a memorable one in Cork. I traveled with my husband and 4 children 19 and up. We hoped we would experience a true Irish pub and we did!! Costigan's Pub lived up to everything you would imagine an Irish pub would be. The Pub has been there since 1849, awesome music, the Guinness was great and Colm and his team were fantastic!!! We all talked and laughed with Colm while sitting outside the bar and my kids had a blast with the bartenders and locals in the pub. Thank you, Colm (and everyone else), for giving us such a lovely evening. It truly was a memorable night and hope to be back one day soon!!!! Rose

Fantastic pub. Staff are friendly, experienced and knowledgeable in their trade. Live music regularly from fantastic local artists and they pull the best pint of Guinness in Cork city. Savage gaff

A Great Atmosphere

A very lively pub! The drinks are great. The bartenders are all (for the most part) friendly. Can get crowded on weekends due to popularity. Live music during the week.

Highly recommend if you have nothing to do on a Monday night.

I’m traveling solo from out of town, and this made my trip so worth it. Rob and Jack were so amazing and made sure I was feeling safe, comfortable, AND made amazing drinks. I can’t wait to come back next time I’m vacationing!

Great pub with a great atmosphere

A 1st class pub with lovely friendly staff. We visited it Tuesday/Wednesday nights and very surprised that they had music both nights (a lovely surprise tho). The atmosphere was amazing. A lovely clean pub. We will be back in the not too distant future. The Guinness was good.

Fantastic Pub, Great Atmosphere and Sound Staff.

I booked a table for a party here last weekend and to say it was hassle-free is an understatement. Booking it was super handy and everything from the amount of tables to the finger food was exactly as discussed.

Great atmosphere regardless of whether you're looking for a quick pint or a group gathering!
