Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had emailed previously regarding its dog friendly policy whether it was and whether it was indoor or outdoor. The restaurant stated it was outdoor and to come through the main building to access it.

However, I arrived to be told the outdoor area was closed and had been since October.

I have no problem with that but its policy should be clear and I should have obtained that information when I emailed.

Please inform customers clearly of your policy to avoid a wasted journey.

Brought my parents and five year old for lunch today. My father is typically hard to please. He loved the food and the whole experience and has been singing its praises since. His seal of approval is hard won so fair play to Lèa’s. Loved every morsel. The place was incredibly busy yet staff were attentive at all times and very friendly. The setting is also of course lovely with both the gallery (although closed today because of the Christmas/ New Year’s break) and the university grounds. Will visit again very soon.

We were waiting 30mins for foods which I would get over if the steak I ordered didn’t feel as if it came out of the fridge. Will not be going again. Wouldn’t recommend.

It looked closed on our approach. Not a good start. Striking building surrounding by overgrown grounds. Entrance wasn’t clearly sign posted and then when you go through the door you have to go upstairs to the main entrance. No staff at the entrance to ask for information so we went in the shop . 3 members of staff chatting to each other, told us the cafe as signed at the entrance hasn’t been open for 3 years. We left!
We have worked in the museum sector. This was unimpressive.

Purpose-built gallery in the grounds of UCC.
As is always the way with such spaces, the appeal depends on the programming...

My 2nd time here to give it a 2nd chance. It was worse than the 1st visit.
Staff were horrendous had to go to the counter to ask for water, salt & pepper, milk. Weren’t greeted when we arrived even though staff were standing chatting by the door , so we helped ourselves to the menus & table. Only 3 tables were occupied so don’t understand why service was crap.
Food was disgusting. Left most of my mine on the plate and no enquiry as to why when plates were lifted. The milk curdled in the coffee. We noticed thick brown / grey mould inside the water bottle / jug had to go to counter again to replace it. Clearly not been washed in a long while. (Hopefully won’t be sick tomorrow). Glasses not even replaced with fresh water. Bathroom needed attention 🤮
Can’t get over how terrible it was on every level. Sickening. We ate there 12th Jan 2020.

This Gallery is hidden away on the grounds of University College in Cork. We stumbled onto this place looking for a restroom and were stunned by the works here. A must see.

The building is interesting architecturally and they usually have a few different exhibitions. It is within the campus grounds of UCC, so if you are walking around the college, it is a nice thing to include. The free admission makes it good for quick or more extended visits. And Cafe BoBo downstairs is by far the best place to get Coffee/Espresso drinks, light meals and treats on campus. It is good enough to go to the campus just for the cafe.

My niece and I enjoyed a fabulous brunch at Bobo Café yesterday. I had reserved a table with Caoimhe who afforded us first class service. The food was really tasty and beautifully presented.
We were ever so impressed with everything and had the loveliest experience. I would highly recommend Bobo Café at The Glucksman for the food, great staff, care and attention to detail in a totally relaxed atmosphere. Kay
