We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff was terribly rude and racist. When we arrived last night the waitress told us sharply that we should leave if we didn’t drink (we barely arrived: of course we hadn’t had time to order!). And once we finished the drinks, the other bartender kicked us out impolitely and making racist “jokes”, judging us because we looked foreigners. It was shocking, hurtful and unexpected. I’m terribly disappointed as I thought this pub was a welcoming place, specially considering that they hold a weekly language exchange event. But hey, looks like the staff is racist. I’m not coming back here anymore.

Stopped in on a Sunday night and absolutely loved this pub. Was very quiet until the live music began, then wonderful. The musicians sat at a table and encouraged everyone to chime in, and by the end of the night everyone was singing and dancing in one big group. Felt welcoming and extremely fun, like going out with people you’ve known forever, even family. Highly recommend!

It is a bit larger than other bars we visited and the bartender is not so friendly as usual but the atmosphere and the beer are may be the best in the country!

An Spailpin Fanac is a superb traditional Irish pub. The interior is pretty spacious and it's never been overcrowded the times we've been there. There are also lots of cosy nooks if you want something more secluded. The décor is very authentic and traditional and there's a great snug with a fireplace. Good selection of beers and spirits. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Went to a table quiz in aid of Pieta House on Saturday night last. Plenty of space and the quiz was well organised. Finger food was very good. Great venue to have fun in. This is a good music venue and has a stage for live bands upstairs.

The Spailpin Fanac is my fav pub in Cork. The have live music almost every night. It's never so loud that you can't understand your friends. It's a great place for bigger groups. The rooms are very spacious, but a lot of little nooks too. Very cozy and the staff is friendly. A very irish pub without all the touristy-nees! It's very cozy and the atmospher always friendly.
