Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nothing but a playground for feral children and rough people. Absolutely no security addressing antisocial behaviour. I’m guessing they live in the rough housing in the area and come here to play. Poor choice of shops. Restaurants are all dirty with eating area full of trays of rubbish left on tables. Nowhere clean to sit. Save your money and go elsewhere.

If you want a lesson on how to put People off going to the cinema, The Omniplex is the the best example you can get. What an ordeal these days going to the pictures can be and I am not the only one that expressed this. It was 2 years since my last visit and let it be more than that the next time. Poxy touch screens everywhere which take more time ar$ing about with then going to the counter and telling someone what you need. Mind you the people I dealt with could barely get the order of 3 popcorn and 3 drinks right not to mind the massive prices for everything there. The cinema is fine but the stress of getting it, Well never again. I go to a proper one Like Youghal....

Went to Omniplex cinema last Saturday with my family, we had pre booked and I had a print out of our tickets, we arrived at the theatre which was empty bar a handful of staff, we went up to the counter to get popcorn and drinks and were "served" by a terribly rude young man with absolutly zero idea of how to speak to customers. I told my son to tell the guy what he wanted and the boy then rudly interrupted us to ask "Are you paying with cash?" I then tried to explain thst we had our tickets and were looking to buy some treats for the movie and when explaining this the boy had no interest of what I was trying to explain and again interrupted me by saying "this is a, collection point" I didn't quite understand what he meant as he was right in front of the popcorn and treats and it had been so long since we where at this cinema we weren't quite sure what he meant, I again tried to explain we already had our tickets but it was just food we were looking to get and he then very rudely cut across me for the second time and said with an aggressive tone "I'm telling yeah" and pointed over to the opposite end of the theatre to the exit and said we need to go over there and order there and then collect our food here, which I didn't quite understand why we needed to do this when we were right in front of the popcorn area, I said to him where are you pointing that's the way out? Another young staff member who clearly seen that the boy was not handling the situation well then came across and kindly explained how it worked and showed my partner where the area for ordering the food was, I then turned to the young lad and just simply said, just to let you know pal you really need to work on your communication skills with customers (as I used to work in hospitality and if I was caught speaking like that to a customer I would be sacked on the spot) and to my amazement he shook his head and said "Nah thats on you bud" I couldn't believe he spoke to me like this so I then asked him to call his manager as I was feed up of this clearly clueless and rude young fella who I can only assume just started the job and recieved little or no training. It then got worse as he got more and more aggressive with me and raised his voice saying "you want to speak to my manager is it!?" I said yes and he then shockingly stormed off towards a phone and shouted out loudly "Jesus Christ and punched a wall" then turned around and said to me there's a manager over there and pointed across the way, I asked him what his name was so I could inform his manager and he refused to tell me and said "Nah no I'm not giving you my name" I then made my way over to this manager and explained how awful this boy had treated us and I got an apology from this lady who went and spoke with him for a couple of minutes and then came back and told me he will be speaking with the General manager. that was all, Im not sure if this will even happened or not and as I didnt get his name I will never find out so wasn't really overly impressed with the outcome and at this stage we were late for the movie my son was very excited to see so I just ended it by telling his manager "you just can't speak to people like this never mind a customer thats shocking, she apologised again and thst was that. the reception area was empty and about 8 staff around so no excuse to be so short and rude with us or anyone for that manner, we were not rude to the young lad he just clearly hadn't a clue how to deal with customers.

I went to McDonalds in Mahon Point this evening to get a tea to bring with me to the cinema(queue was really long in the Xpresso Café). After putting in the milk and wiping up a small spill with a napkin I was looking for a place to put the waste. I was trying to ask the man serving if there was a small bin/container I could put this rubbish in. He cut me off and crossly said.. this is a big foodcourt and there is a big bin over there as he pointed to the bin. I was so shocked by his rudeness that I didn't do anything for a moment. Then he took the few items and put them in a bin just under the counter. The man in question was so rude I felt I had to write a review.

I was shopping in Mahon for a party outfit and stopped in Selected, unfortunately I didn’t find anything that I liked in any shop I went to, but Trisha was very helpful and amazing to give me advice on what would suit and styles to try out, to me I was the one of the annoying customers lol, but she was brilliant with knowing what to say and making me feel good about what would be nice! 5stars

My daughter wanted to visit Mahon Point on Thursday May 2nd last having made her confirmation on Wednesday May 1st. My husband and I brought herself and her friend and arrived about 2.00pm. the Market was just beginning to wrap up so we were sorry we missed that. the girls headed off on their shopping trip and we wandered around while waiting for them. The centre wasn't too busy so I found it reasonably enjoyable. The young ones really enjoyed the visit although they bought very little as they thought the prices were too high.
