Been in a fair number of these ' markets' in my travels. This one is below average. Lots of tosh and no 'gold' ... nothing.

A few decent items and a fair amount of junk, reproductions and kitsch. No real bargains as everything appears overpriced.
Pleasant enough for a browse and a coffee, that's about it.

Visited while we were in Cork on vacation. Very eclectic shop. A little bit of everything. Never know what you may find that you need.

Remember this is a 'flea market' and does not do high-end antiques but it holds many hidden treasures, and some real bargains. I spotted a few interesting books at great prices and some good bric-a-brac items too. If one was looking for old clothes for a theatre production, or just some quirky fashions Mother Jones Flea Market would be well worth a vist. I like to call in a spend an hour or so any time we are in Cork, sometimes I buy and sometimes I don't but I never regret just checking it out.

After the sterile humdrum of mainstream shopping Mother Jones offers a glimpse of the other side . Fabulous vintage clothing and Objet d'art. Find it and have fun.

I visit the café quite often for a cuppa and a slice of cake, it's good value and dog friendly. I like a mooch around the stalls, and found good value jewellery there.

Absolutely love this market. I've come to know most of the stall holders quite well. The market is indoors (thankfully) and although is quite compact, you'll definitely spend a lot longer in there than you think! A sort of retro Tardis, the weird, wonderful and collectible seem to spill out from every nook and cranny, shelf and table.

There are some lovely bric a brac stalls, a deeply interesting 'vinyl asylum' (their name not mine :-) ) which has unbelievably diverse LP's and 45's, a few vintage clothing stores, a lovely antiques stall where actual restoration and french polishing takes place on the weekends. Lots of little jewellery cabinets dotted about the ground floor, with costume pieces and fine jewellery pieces on offer.

Prices differ across the market. But nothing is the same. True, you might find a similar item at a similar stall, but prices do reflect the condition. Don't expect to see a table with three legs with the same price as one with four!

Haggle!!! Definitely haggle. It's cool to see how each stall differs, and you'll have fun in the process.

The market has a really nice café, with ground coffees, speciality teas and a really tasty apple pie. Really not bad for €5.50 (coffee and tart) bearing in mind this is the city centre. Added bonus of fresh whipped cream sealed the deal for me.

What did I buy? I bought a few old tools, wooden rasps and files, along with some old wooden drills. I picked up a set of vintage beehive door handles (brass) and I picked up a lovely vintage Japanese plate (which on inspection dated to 1912). I spent €25.50. Nothing wrong with that.

Parking could be a bit of an issue as the market is located at the bottom of a hill. From what I've seen people tend to walk there as it's no more than a 10 minute walk if you're close to the centre of Cork city.

Pop by for a browse, you certainly won't be disappointed.

This is an eclectic indoor flea market on the north side of the city comprising of about 20 well packed antique stalls and a small coffee shop. Lots of nostalgia on offer but at a price, It's expensive. I'd haggle if you see something you like. It's definitely worth a look as there's lots of unusual items for sale. Go if you are in the area.

We popped in while staying in Cork for the weekend as it appeared in a list of good places to visit, but to be honest it was a little disappointing. The odd item here and there was a prod to memories of our childhood and things we’d seen our grandparents have etc, but I didn’t see many things which were in a great condition to actually buy them. Not really a must see place in Cork...

There are many beautiful things to find, but the vendors spot the tourists a mile away and boost they prices.I thought that 10 Euros for a simple 5X7 replica picture was a little steep. But if you want to go and visit without buying it is an interesting and fun place to see.
