Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to see Cinderella today, 22 Dec 2024. It was spectacular. The cast were phenomenal, the hours upon hours that must have gone into rehearsals showed, the clothing, the props, the professional smoothness of the entire production. Five star rating all the way. Cork Opera House is lovely, it has everything you’d expect. Beautiful x

We went to see Jack and The Beanstalk Pantomime, it was hillarious, not one moment when there wasnt something exciting or interesting and funny going on, the Dame was superb, flying thr the air with the greatest of ease, and the Giant was , well Giantous!! so clever, best one Ive been to for quite a few years, well done to all actors and productioin team. editing was really good! Seeing the children in the audiance enjoying them selves and loving what was going on stage, was great too.

The Opera Gal performance in this wonderful building, was superb, from the presentation by Evelyn Grant to the beautifuly performed music score by the Concert Orchestra conducted by Sinad Hayes, to the magical voices of Emma Nash, Rachel Croash Gavin Ring and Rory Musgrave, from Mozart to Bizet, this was a memorable evening indeed.
Thanks to the Arts Council Ireland, MTU School of music, and indeed the legacy of Cara O Sullivan for putting on this production,Next time you are visiting this busy happy friendly city , please if there is any productions on, go, as from Pantomime to Opera, they are always first class! So Enjoyable, atmosphere voices, gowns , decent bar, all added up to another memorable time spent there. Thank you. E Cole,

Cork Opera house rescheduled my Original booking date for 5 Persons / tickets to a different date. I disagreed and requested a full refund which is my right. I was eventually refunded ticket price (not including booking fee). The Original booking was not cancelled or changed by me but for some reason I have to forego the booking fee which is nonsense.
Poor Customer Service and understanding of Consumer rights.
I will not be dealing with them again.

The Cork Opera house has a huge variety of shows throughout the year and I would normally go to at least 10 a year. Recently had surgery and ended up needing hearing aids. Going to my first show with them on, I was excited to know they have a Loop Induction system. This hooks up to you hearing aids so you can here the sound clearer. Hearing aids don't work well in theatres alone, as it picks up every little sound. So the Loop Induction is invaluable.
However their system is seriously outdated and only works on older hearing with FM radio frequency. Mine work by Bluetooth, as do nearly all hearing aids made in the last 10 years or so. They advertised they have Loop Induction but it's very out dated. The sound engineer was very apologetic but couldn't help me. I sat watching a show with my family not knowing what was being said. I will have to start looking elsewhere for shows untill the update their systems.
Very disappointed.

Another fabulous evening at the Panto. Though it was sold out , the management of people entering and leaving was super efficient . The Panto itself , Peter Pan was outstanding and appeals to both young and old. An absolutely brilliant evening

Excellent small theater with great service and fun gathering areas outside the theater. All the seats looked like good ones. We saw Samuel Beckett's Happy Days - what a performance!!

Parking was easy - garage right nearby.

Fantastic panto. Best I’ve seen: all the actors were outstanding . Frank was fantastic yet again. The set was out of this world . The jokes cracked me up , the music , dancing etc were all amazing . Ten out of ten for the show but ………….

……. please stop selling those plastic light up wands. For the second half I had a
Young child in front of me waving one. They’re tack and headwrecking and really can take from the experience . No need at all for them.
