Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful church with Harry Clarke windows. Peaceful and prayerful atmosphere. Mass at 7.30 in the evening with the Capuchin priests. Worth a visit

This is an amazing piece of gothic architecture built very slowly using wheelbarrows and painstaking stonework in a time when money ran out and work ceased until it could be resumed. The church has a friary within it and its interior is beautiful, there are windows there by Harry Clarke, which are resplendent and very ornate, The altar is embellished with cloisoinne, and behind it is a window dedicated to James Connolly, one of our brave freedom fighters.

Unfortunately by the time we were able to make it to this church it was closed for the day so we did not get to see inside but it does have a gorgeous gothic exterior that is worth stopping to see even if you cannot go inside. It is free to go inside during business hours. There is also a Capuchin Friary next to it.

We were in Cork, Ireland today and walked all around the town before finding Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church which is also known as Father Matthew of the Capuchin Order Memorial Church. Father Matthew became an active social crusader, working to improve the conditions of the city's poor. Construction of the church began in the early 1830s but stalled shortly before the Great Famine. It was finally completed in 1890. The Church is an example of simple English Gothic Revival. I wish I’d been here for a service. I recommend a less than 1 Hour visit.
