University College Cork is one of Ireland’s most prestigious universities. It boasts a vibrant, modern campus with a student experience second to none in Ireland. A learning community where the student is at the heart of everything and the special relationship between student and lecturer is primary to our unique ethos. The campus is located a mere ten minutes walk from the heart of Cork city, a former European Capital of Culture. Cork is listed as a top ten location in the Lonely Planet guide which states it “has always had an unshakeable self-confidence and innate sense of pride”, a description which is equally applicable to the University itself

Beautiful campus, lots of old (and new) features to explore. The Honan Chapel is fascinating, lots of Harry Clake stained glass windows and a really ususual desigh. Visit the Glucksman art gallery, an award winning building itself, with interesting exhibitions throughout the year and a quality cafe. The gallery is situated beside the River Lee, beautiful location on campus right... More

This campus is well worth a walk. It has a blend of modern and older architecture plus a lovely river going through.

Although UCC or "College" as its known locally has a student population of over 15 thousand, it is still a relatively small campus, with some of it spread around the suburbs. The main campus is a mixture of beautiful historic buildings and ultra modern ones. The gardens and grounds are a credit to the staff. The stone corridor leading the... More

This is a particularly pretty campus to visit if you are in the area or going to the Glucksman gallery. There are some especially nice sculptures tucked around the place including a great stack of books carved into a tree.

I attended UCC for one semester in 2003 and absolutely loved both the beauty of the campus and the quality of the education. I was equally as impressed when I went back this summer. The campus is just soooo scenic and full of history. It really should be a tourist destination within itself! Art, history, beautiful green open spaces and... More

I walked around the gardens with 2 Swiss friends and we loved the gardens and the fantastic trees. The Honan Chapel has some interesting stained glass windows (Harry Clarke) also a fascinating mosaic along with various art pieces around the alter. The Hall of Stones(Ogham stones) is amazing my favourite is the one with the hollows. The Glucksman Art gallery... More
