University College Cork is one of Ireland’s most prestigious universities. It boasts a vibrant, modern campus with a student experience second to none in Ireland. A learning community where the student is at the heart of everything and the special relationship between student and lecturer is primary to our unique ethos. The campus is located a mere ten minutes walk from the heart of Cork city, a former European Capital of Culture. Cork is listed as a top ten location in the Lonely Planet guide which states it “has always had an unshakeable self-confidence and innate sense of pride”, a description which is equally applicable to the University itself

A great place to visit and be imbued with traditional college life. The site is amazing, and the surrounding nature is incredible, in particular during the autumn, with the leaves turning colours.

University College Cork (formerly Queen's University) is the main university in the city with beautiful grounds, old and modern buildings, and the impressive small Honan Chapel. Well worth a stroll around the grounds which is close to the city centre.

While there are some horrible buildings around campus, the old quadrangle is pretty attractive. There is also a good gallery on site, and the new library is a fairly decent piece of modern work. Well worth the short walk out from Cork City centre.

There is a lot of history here and it is quite a beautiful spot, merging the old with the new. Lots of young people milling around is great to see.

We may be biased as our daughter attends UCC and we first visited this weekend, but the campus is a beautiful gem in what (for me, at least) is a not-very-attractive city that is in great need of massive re-development. UCC benefits from the old and the new: charming riverside walks by old buildings and mystical trees combined with some... More

Absolutely gorgeous ground. Beautiful old university buildings, many nice, green, very private places to sit, relax and think. Buzzing with life. And the foliage on old gray stone walls, amazing! Take a walk on the path along the river Lee. There is a lovely gallery close by with an exhibition that was a perfect introduction to our Cork city tour.... More

I will always love the campus here, there is something so surreal about the old buildings!there is always a lovely art exhibition on too and a few places to stop for a coffee!the students for the most part are very friendly and it is a place steeped in history, a big part of Cork city that you have to visit!
