This is just the kind of thing I enjoy doing on vacation - something different and filled with interesting history about the location. A bit macabre, but that's something else I enjoy as well. My friend and I did not do the audio tour, but...More

Very interesting! Cold, damp, realistic - for a 21st century audience - really a must see - somehow it really brought to mind the one simple line I was taught in grammar school in the 1950's about our Founding Father's and "no debtor's prisons" -...More

The price is expensive in relation to what it offers. Your visit is done in 15 minutes (longer if you decide to see the movie and drop by the radio museum). Unfortunately, the radio museum is a separate price from the city gaol. In combination...More

A very interesting stop on a visit to Cork. The audio tour is a great way to explore this site. The mannequins certainly added to the experience, as did the individual stories of both prisoners and staff.

It really worth seeing. Interesting museum with some individual stories. I just hope they will restore more to see, with more prisoners stories.

I found it expensive for what was offered. 8 euro for an adult and 5 euro each for my kids. The tour was over in about 20 minutes that included the audio and visual film at the end of our walk about. Really felt ripped...More

We enjoyed the visit to the gaol it was very interesting. We paid for the audio tour which we felt was more informative than just having the guide leaflet. A couple could easily share the audio tape with 1 earphone each as the wires were...More

Went to see this with my girlfriend who is in to history! I didn't think I'd enjoy it that much but was actually very interesting. Was a good insight to what it was like in the prison it's well restored and looks good! Doesn't take...More
