Denis O’Sullivan, who met us promptly at our cruise port and took us to Kinsale and other scenic areas, was a joy. Our 2 teenage granddaughters enjoyed his history on the beautiful area south of Cork and itinerary as much as we did. We feel like we made a very charming Irish friend. At the end of our 5 hour tour, he gifted us Dubliner cheese, which included milk from his brother’s nearby dairy farm.

Denis met my husband and I at the cruise terminal in Bantry and spent almost 7 hours driving us through beautiful countryside and picturesque villages to Killarney National Park with numerous stops at viewpoints on the lakes, the mountains and the waterfall. He arranged a tour of the ancient Ross castle, and we walked around Mucross house and park, and even managed to find time to see the famous Bantry house with gorgeous gardens.
Denis is very knowledgeable, pleasant, accommodative, and he planned our day perfectly. He shared with us his family history and answered all our multiple questions. His car is very comfortable. We had an unforgettable day! Thank you, Denis! Elena and Ed

My Irish ancestors were Sullivans so I thought it was a good sign when I found these tours offered by Denis O'Sullivan! We had a great day touring west Cork — learning more about Michael Collins and seeing some of the notable sites on his last days in 1922, as well as some beautiful Sullivan family-related sites. A little bit of Skibereen, Goleen, Crookhaven (for a most southwesternly pint with lunch), Brow Head, Mizen Head, Sheep's Head overlooking Bantry Bay, another Sullivan site at Carriganass castle, and finally a surprise stop at Gougane Barra. A very full and wonderful day! Thank you so much for all of your time and attention, Denis!

We were four adult family members traveling together. Two of us had been to Ireland other times. Although it was expensive we know that we got far more out of our visit having the flexibility of our own vehicle. Our guide, Dennis, was very knowledgeable and took us to many "off the beaten track" sites. He is a retired teacher and we certainly benefitted from that in many ways..

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Denis as our driver/guide for 6 days. He met us at the Shannon Airport and our adventure/experience began. Denis took us, not all in this order, to the Cliffs of Moher, Lehinch, the Burren, Galway, Cong, Connemara, Killary Harbor, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Bunratty Castle, Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, Connor Pass, Ballyheigue. Denis’s insight into the history, geography, culture of each area was superb. The former teacher in his soul came right through. In addition, his attention to detail, his researching more information for us on his evenings off, his respectful manner, his willingness to oblige some “spontaneous” requests to stop places, all contributed to the “essence of Denis”. His immaculate and comfortable Mercedes van, and his safe and careful driving made me, a typically nervous passenger, at 100% ease for the entire 6 days. We are already planning to book directly with Denis when we are ready to return to visit Cork and the Ring of Kerry. I joked with Denis that I will gladly serve as his USA marketing agent! One could not find a better driver/guide.

Blarney Castle and other sites was a great value and experience with a great driver and owner (Denis O'Sullivan). Highly recommend. Much better than the cruise ship excursions. Brand new van and very safe. Best driver of all the 12 day cruise tours!

We met Denis through the tourist office when we got off the ship. I highly recommend Denis. He was knowledgeable, friendly, a very safe driver, and took us to beautiful places in the area. The highlight was the town of Kinsale. The drive around the area was so beautiful for our group of 5. We also saw Cork. He explained the history of the area to us as well. Susan R

We met Denis O‘Sullivan, our guide directly in the cruise port in Cobh, we had a fantastic day traveling through the countryside with the main stop in Kinsale. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable, a former teacher and comes from Cork. The day was a highlight for us. I would highly recommend Denis, also a safe driver and a beautiful new van.

We had the most fantastic day with Wild Atlantic Luxury Tours; firstly the scenery is truly gorgeous, spending a day driving around this oceanside natural landscape is enriching for the soul, gorgeous countryside and ocean views.

We toured the Sheep’s Head, which takes half of the day, then stopping in Bantry for lunch before heading to Gouganebarra. I gladly recommend any tourist to visit these lovely places. The sky was grey for most of the day though the natural scenic colours are so vivid that it still looks fabulous, to the eye and on photo.

Denis was the highlight above all, his endless knowledge of each location is truly remarkable and endlessly engaging. Ireland is a country with remarkable history. if you have any links you’re bound to learn something about your family background.

Finally, the MPV car is lovely, superbly comfortable with huge windows with which to enjoy the views.

Overall we highly recommend doing a tour with Wild Atlantic Way Luxury Tours if you’re visiting Cork / the west coast, it was the highlight of our trip and made us fall in love even more with this wonderful part of the world!

Since I have been in Ireland I have done different trips around West Cork area with this Wild Atlantic Luxury Tours:

- Michael Collins experience. Birth place, house, and museum.
- Glengariff and Bantry Bay.
- Gougane Barra
- Mizen Head
- Sheeps Head
- Beara Peninsula (Castledownbere, Dursey Island, Allihies, Healy's Pass....)
- Baltimore, Clonakilty, Skibbereen, Roscarbery, Drombeg

Denis O'Sullivan is such a professional guide, knows lots of History around West Cork, he is a very well documented expert, also he knows plenty of rumors and spoken local History that is impossible to find in books from the prehistory to today, for instance, he knows a lot about irish family names heritage.

He also knows the best points of view to enjoy the amazing landscapes in West Cork and its food.

We were collected by Denis in a brand new and fully equiped Mercedes Benz van with fridge included. The tours were so comfortable.

I enjoyed myself a lot getting to know the West Cork history and its landscapes with Denis in an incredible experience 100% recommendable.
