Denis O’Sullivan, who met us promptly at our cruise port and took us to Kinsale and other scenic areas, was a joy. Our 2 teenage granddaughters enjoyed his history on the beautiful area south of Cork and itinerary as much as we did. We feel like we made a very charming Irish friend. At the end of our 5 hour tour, he gifted us Dubliner cheese, which included milk from his brother’s nearby dairy farm.

Denis picked us up at Dublin Airport and took us to our B&B in County Cork. He also toured us around County Cork 1 day, taking us on some great backroads. He’s very knowledgeable about the area…great castles, great pubs, and seems to know everyone!!! He also transported us to our stay in Galway City, with several detours and great stops along the way (the highlight was a drive by the Father Ted Parochial House from the opening credits 🤣).
This was our 2nd vacation hiring Denis…and definitely worth it! Will definitely be hiring him for all future Ireland vacations.

My Irish ancestors were Sullivans so I thought it was a good sign when I found these tours offered by Denis O'Sullivan! We had a great day touring west Cork — learning more about Michael Collins and seeing some of the notable sites on his last days in 1922, as well as some beautiful Sullivan family-related sites. A little bit of Skibereen, Goleen, Crookhaven (for a most southwesternly pint with lunch), Brow Head, Mizen Head, Sheep's Head overlooking Bantry Bay, another Sullivan site at Carriganass castle, and finally a surprise stop at Gougane Barra. A very full and wonderful day! Thank you so much for all of your time and attention, Denis!

Denis met my husband and I at the cruise terminal in Bantry and spent almost 7 hours driving us through beautiful countryside and picturesque villages to Killarney National Park with numerous stops at viewpoints on the lakes, the mountains and the waterfall. He arranged a tour of the ancient Ross castle, and we walked around Mucross house and park, and even managed to find time to see the famous Bantry house with gorgeous gardens.
Denis is very knowledgeable, pleasant, accommodative, and he planned our day perfectly. He shared with us his family history and answered all our multiple questions. His car is very comfortable. We had an unforgettable day! Thank you, Denis! Elena and Ed

We were four adult family members traveling together. Two of us had been to Ireland other times. Although it was expensive we know that we got far more out of our visit having the flexibility of our own vehicle. Our guide, Dennis, was very knowledgeable and took us to many "off the beaten track" sites. He is a retired teacher and we certainly benefitted from that in many ways..

Blarney Castle and other sites was a great value and experience with a great driver and owner (Denis O'Sullivan). Highly recommend. Much better than the cruise ship excursions. Brand new van and very safe. Best driver of all the 12 day cruise tours!

We travelled to Beara Peninsula from Dunmanway, the town we live in. Denis took us to the best spots along the way... Bantry, Glengarriff, Castletownbere, Dursey Island, Allihies, etc.
It was a very nice trip. Denis knows a lot of things about West Cork, its history and its people. It´s not a stantard tourist tour... It is much more human and interesting. If you want to discover the truth about the West Cork culture this is your trip :)

The tour I booked combined the picturesque Irish landscape with a lot of information about Irish history. The tour guide is a local and can therefore provide insider information which makes the trip very personal and individualistic. It was very nice to get to know the country (or at least South-West) this way - I enjoyed it and can really recommend it!

Denis is a very nice man, very interesting, who knows all about West Cork and the wild Atlantic way. If you like history and curious about the Irish heritage, this tour is perfect. I enjoyed a lot Clonakilty! Thank you.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Denis as our driver/guide for 6 days. He met us at the Shannon Airport and our adventure/experience began. Denis took us, not all in this order, to the Cliffs of Moher, Lehinch, the Burren, Galway, Cong, Connemara, Killary Harbor, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden, Bunratty Castle, Dingle Peninsula, Killarney, Connor Pass, Ballyheigue. Denis’s insight into the history, geography, culture of each area was superb. The former teacher in his soul came right through. In addition, his attention to detail, his researching more information for us on his evenings off, his respectful manner, his willingness to oblige some “spontaneous” requests to stop places, all contributed to the “essence of Denis”. His immaculate and comfortable Mercedes van, and his safe and careful driving made me, a typically nervous passenger, at 100% ease for the entire 6 days. We are already planning to book directly with Denis when we are ready to return to visit Cork and the Ring of Kerry. I joked with Denis that I will gladly serve as his USA marketing agent! One could not find a better driver/guide.
