Doors opened at 8.15 - a bottle of beer was €6 - a poor selection. The Show didn't start until after 9.30 and when I asked the staff why the delay - got no satisfaction.
Disappointing experience which could be avoided with a little more helpful staff response.
Would not go back there and would not recommend to a friend, sadly.

If you are looking for a good laugh, the Comedy Club is definitely worth a visit. We have been there twice in the last few months and it seems to get more hilarious each time we go. Brian, Micheal and the team are fantastic and you are guaranteed to spend the time howling with laughter- I can’t recommend it enough

I recently attended the Bernard Casey gig at the Comedy Club. Haven't been out to a comedy gig in ages and was delighted that the Comedy Club was still as much fun as ever to see a comedian. For me it was a blast from the past as I used to go to the club all the time when Dara O'Brian was the MC so great opportunity to relive the good old days. Highly recommend a visit to the comedy club when visiting Cork or for a fun night out / something different.

We hadn't been at a gig in such a long time. City Limits is a little gem in the heart of Cork city. Owner Brian was so helpful when I emailed him with a query about the tickets. Everything about the gig was very well organised. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome from Brian on stage. He was very sincere with the audience in his support for live comedy. Jason Byrne was hilarious. Looking forward to getting back very soon for a another fun night. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic time in the comedy club. I loved that there was a variety of humour from each performer so anyone could enjoy it. It was very easy to get to and staff were very friendly and helpful. The venue had a nice vibe to it also.

This was just sad. The "comedians" simply hadn't done the necessary preparation. Renewed and repetitive attempts at audience participation can't fill that vacuum.
On the upside, the host/comedian and the barman/comedian were both very friendly and welcoming. Their special guest wasn't in the slightest bit funny however.
The best laugh of the night was from a member of the audience who said he was a talent scout when the comedian on stage asked him what he did for a living. The comedian went very red and didn't really recover from the exchange.
To sum up, the whole event was embarrassingly cringeworthy and so not worth the admission fee.

If you enjoy a good laughter, not shy in hearing a joke about yourself and love a good atmosphere, this is a place to visit. Any time I have an opportunity, I go to see regardless of who is performing – there will always be a good one for sure. Brilliant staff, great atmosphere and lots of laughter (vitamin C 😊)

Me and bunch of friends were over the moon with the performance of all comedians! Especially with the funny Mike! Brian was an amazing host taking care of us from the start to the very end while introducing the acts in a hilarious way! The cherry on the top was seeing my partner (who has hardly any English) choking with laughter 🤭😄 We had such a blast!! Will be back 100%. Thanks to all! Recommending to anyone finding the ways to spend their eve in Cork.

Fabulous night out in the great city limits comedy club. If its a great night your after with plenty laughs you won't be one bit disappointed. They always has great acts that deliver fornomanal comedy. The staff are also very catering in looking after all your needs. It is a number 1 comedy club in the heart of Cork City. I'd highly recommend it for anyone that's up for a good night of laughs

We were delighted to see David McSavage on the Cork leg of his comeback tour. He was hilarious, and so very patient and kind chatting to people and taking photos before and after the show. The support act was also excellent, can't remember his name but still quoting a couple of his jokes months later! This is a special venue and holds lots of memories of seeing many of the greats of comedy down through the years. Thanks Brian for getting going again after all this Covid business, looking forward to more nights of mighty craic!
