Absolutely Wonderful!

Beautiful oasis in the heart of the busy city.
Me and my partner stumbled into Nano Nagle Experience and decided to go in, not really knowing what to expect.
We were greeted by the wonderful Agnes whose kindness and warmth made us feel extremely welcome.
The museum taught us so much about Ireland’s history as well as the incredible woman Nano was. The gardens and graveyard are peaceful, beautiful and a lovely place to meditate.
We saw Agnes at the end again and had a long chat with her about Nano. We will never forget her passion, knowledge and kindness. We hope to visit Nano Nagle experience and Agnes again in the future.
Agnes epitomises all that is beautiful of Irish people: their kindness and warmth. She made our 13 day trip to Ireland much more special and one that we will never forget.

Thank you,
Diana and Paul

Calm Break in a Busy City
Aug 2021 • Family
We turned up as a family of 5 (three children) but had neglected to book online. However we found there was space for us. On arrival the kids were given ‘Let’s Play Cork’ tote bags with a city wide activity pack in it. As part of this initiative a family ticket to Nano Nagle Place was only €10 instead of €18.

Mary at the desk was a bundle of joy and looked after our bags while we went round the site. The kids hunted for Blaithin the cartoon Lizard hidden around the site while the adults took in the story of Nano Nagle and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.

Absolute bargain at €10 we wished we’d come earlier for lunch and a coffee stop.

What a hidden gem. A beautiful, interesting oasis is the city. Tells the story of Nano Nagle and really brings home the hardships of the 18th century. What Nano Nagle achieved is amazing. What a brave lady.
Interesting exhibitions, lovely gardens and wonderful, warm, friendly staff.

My partner and I came to Nano Nagle on the recommendation of a local friend, and we were not disappointed. We were helped out by Mary, who is extremely lovely and helpful! She kept our bags for us while we walked around the museum and the complex, which was so incredibly kind. She answered all of our questions and gave us more recommendations for the city. The museum itself was excellent. It gave a thorough picture of life in Cork in the 18th century and also the work of Nano Nagle. The gardens are absolutely beautiful as well. I would definitely recommend coming here for a while during your trip to Cork City!

An oasis of tranquility in the city centre
Jul 2021
Well managed, open and friendly staff, well presented information, good coverage of both personal llife history and the development of the religious order that Nano Nagle founded.

Thoughtful development of the site, including the gardens and buildings surrounding the Sister's Cemetary. Had been a frequent visitor before the changes, and will surely be back for the peace and quiet.

Please note that we had pre-booked our visit during the restrictions of Cv19 but had not been made aware that we would need to separately book a table - in order to eat at the Cafe in the Grounds.

Good afternoon E3095NO Thanks for the lovely comments. Really appreciated. Given outdoor dining our brilliant partners Good Day Deli are increasingly booked solid through the day so contacting them (they are a stand alone business) via their web-site booking facility is advisable. Hope to see you again soon. We have an exciting line up of exhibitions planned from August through to Christmas. Kind regards, Shane Clarke, CEO

Nano Nagle Place is a must for any visitor to Cork. The staff work tirelessly and joyfully to make one's visit the most special it can be, and they surpass any possible expectation one might have! The grounds are beautiful, the museum is expertly crafted, and the education is priceless. I cannot wait to return!
