Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Simply put - wonderful museum ! A hidden gem 💎, beautiful grounds, lots of history , fabulous museum. Restaurant, gift shop and fabulous staff. Met Ger at reception and wowed us with so many facts and information about Nano Nagle , a passion for history certainly evident and from all the friendly staff we met including Mary who also regaled us with lots of fabulous interesting things about the area and local history. 100% worth popping by and learning about a woman who was well ahead of her time to help those less fortunate get an opportunity to be educated during a tough time in Irish society. A fantastic visit !

My husband and I went to the Nano Nangle centre on the last day of our annual leave. The whole experience was surreal. We were greeted by Paul who was very welcoming. The star of the show however was Agnes , our tour guide. Her passion and enthusiasm were contagious. We were completely humbled by the whole experience. Her knowledge and empathy was incredible. Her knowledge of Nano Nangle and the centre was incredible. We cannot recommend highly enough a visit to the centre.

This was truly the highlight of our trip to Cork. I can’t really add a great deal more to the wonderful reviews that have already been written, only to emphasise that this is a ‘must see’ visit. Nano Nagle was a truly remarkable person and Agnes (our ambassador) was so informative and kind to us on our tour that by the end of our visit we felt that we were all part of her family. The exhibits and displays were all first class and this museum fully deserves to be near the top of the rankings on Trip Advisor.

Absolutely loved learning about Nano Nagel. The museum is well set up and has both indoor and outdoor spaces. It is worth going just to meet Agnes who is an ambassador of the centre and greeted us, sold us our tickets and gave us info before our tour even started. She is a wonderful and welcoming women and was one of the highlights of our trip to Cork. This museum is a definite must.

Wonderful and informative museum I had the pleasure of visiting during my few days in cork. I started my morning at Good Day Deli, the lovely cafe at the on-site gardens - a must visit. Met the wonderful museum host, Agnes, in the design shop, who was a delight to chat with. You can tell how proud she is to be a part of such an important piece of Irish history. I hope this review speaks to someone, as this visit was a highlight for me.

Nano Nagle place is not only one of the best tours and museums in Cork, but also one of the best historical experiences I have ever undertaken.

Growing up in Cork, and being a proud Corkonian, I had a passing knowledge of our history. However, my trip to Nano Eagle place truly gave me a unique insight into one of our county's most influential people.

I visited the museum with my very elderly grandmother who has both mobility, and vision issues. The staff could not have been more helpful. We were met at the door by Agnes, an ambassador for the museum. Ambassador is the perfect description of this lady, as she exhibits the kindness, love, and caring nature that Nano Nagle herself exuded. Agnes was fantastic with my grandmother, ensuring she was looked after and every accommodation was made to ensure my grandmother's disabilities were catered for. The centre itself is very accessible for people with additional needs, but the care and consideration the staff showed was second-to-none.

The museum is curated excellently and the displays were amazing and extremely informative. The self guided tour is wonderful, but I would highly recommend the guided tour. Agnes's knowledge and storytelling ability really made the whole experience come alive. It was truly one of the greatest tours I have ever been on.

The grounds of Nano Nagle Place are truly a magical place. The feeling of peace and serenity as you followed the footsteps of Nano Nagle is an experience every person should try. The beautiful gardens and contemplative areas give you a sense of peace and joy within nature. The grounds are also free to enter, so I would highly recommend it.

Nano Nagle place is the crown of Cork's historical experiences. It is a testament to the staff, who truly love the place, and that really shows. It is also a testament to the tireless work of the Presentation Sisters who are still actively involved. It was a huge achievement to open a location so perfect, and so well organised.

I cannot thank everyone at Nano Nagle place enough. I will certainly be returning.

Much love for what Nano Nagle accomplished back then. We often fail to acknowledge contemporary societal assumptions around poverty, and the story behing the site is there for us to reflect on the facts and the phenomena around poverty back then and now. Other than that, the staff was very open-hearted. Agnes, the ambassador, is keen on greeting you and making sure you feel welcome, no matter your background and where you're coming from. She'll be sure to point you in the right directions, so that you don't miss out on anything the venue has got on display for its visitors.

We took the guided tour at 3, Gerry was very pleasant and informative and didn’t scrimp on time. It’s amazing how much work has gone into the mueseum. Nano’s life was truly exceptional, given her wealth and connections she could have chosen a different path. A very inspirational story, would highly recommend. All staff were very friendly and helpful which made it a very pleasurable day. Thank you to you all!
