This is a lovely, tranquil place to visit - very peaceful. The staff are really friendly, especially Mary in the ticket shop who made me feel very welcome, and the young woman in the cafe who brought my cup of tea out into the garden when the cafe was busy.
The gardens were a perfect place to sit in the sun and take in the peace and quiet. It was like you are miles away from the city. Nano Nagle's story was fascinating; I have to admit I'd not heard of her before my visit. I loved seeing all the photos of some of the current nuns in the order too.

We have been to Nano Nagle Place unsure about what was on there.
We found a positive, relaxing, mystic place where we could also learn a lot on what was life in Cork, in the XVIII century.
Thanks one million to Agnes, who is such a communicative and sparkling person, who introduced us in the life and deeds of Venerable Nano Nagle, and thanks too to Gerry, so exhaustive in teaching us about the history of Cork in the past and its social life.
We had a great visit.

Nano Nagle place was a revelation that opened our eyes to the life and actions of a formidable and courageous Irish woman! What Nano did has left a lasting, long term impact and influence not only in Ireland but all over the world.

The museum was very informative and insightful of the history and Nano’s life.

The garden was serene and beautiful, an oasis of peace, as though one has entered a different world! What’s more, it is dominated by local, wild flora, which makes it sympathetic and kind to the environment and climate. More of this is needed!

We can clearly see the passion for Nano Nagle and the Presentation Sisters in the people running the place, giving us a lovely experience and insight into a real life hero!

Points to note - only the museum is ticketed, the visitor centre and gardens are free!

It’s a must visit and we’ll definitely be coming back 😀!

We arrived at Nano Nagle, unaware of the legacy of this amazing lady whose name was on the building. We were greeted by Agnes who was so passionate about sharing the story of Nano Nagle and her focus to serve and educate the poor. She wanted us to see every inch of the property and dig into all it has to offer. Agnes is an amazing ambassador of Nano Nagle Place and the efforts to continue the work that was started by a truly remarkable woman. We ventured upstairs to get tickets to the museum and then met Gerry, who was equally passionate about Nano Nagle and another fine ambassador of the museum and effort to get the word out about all this inspiring woman accomplished in her life of service. It is unbelievable to me that she was able to work in secrecy, with support of the community, but little financial support. Against all odds, she was able to achieve amazing results and make a tremendous difference in so many lives.

3 months from our most recent visit and the experience still brings a strong feeling of happiness when it comes to mind.

Certainly a must see, hidden gem, and something Cork and Ireland should no doubt be proud of.

There are more gems inside too with great staff, well informed and they too are interested in their work and in the heritage of their workplace.

On our second visit in March we brought more friends and family. A team member on site by the name of Agnes, gave us a brilliant tour experience and Agnes was excellent at bringing us up to date on the story behind Nano Nagle Place and Nano Nagle herself as a person. The site has something for many interests, beautiful gardens and benches with wall plaques, a tour or a guided tour too. On the immersive tour the information is easily digestible and covers the political, economical, social and legal atmosphere leading the start of Nano Nagle Place story and the enjoyable tour brings you right up to today.

I certainly recommend, they have a great team. A big thanks to Agnes from me!
