Situated 8km from Cork City, this historic castle is most famous for its stone, which has the traditional power of conferring eloquence on all who kiss it. The word Blarney was introduced into the English language by Queen Elizabeth I and is...more

I was lucky enough to be in the Blarney area for work and had a few hours till my flight home.
I visited on a drizzly day in November, as a result I was lucky enough to almost have to place to myself. This was...More
I rarely rate man-made attractions 5-star, but Blarney Castle was great. Make sure to get the early so you don't get aggravated waiting in line to kiss the stone though!!!
There is more to the Castle than the stone, but what makes the attraction 5-star...More
Even our recently graduated son agreed this was great value. Take your student cards. Concessions include over 60 not 65 for some attractions. They really look after the site. The crossing rivers was a surprise! OK the castle is fairly bare but the journey through...More
We were in a tour group and were briefed about the Blarney stone and the time it required for our turn to kiss the stone. We decided not to and instead went around exploring the castle grounds. We had a lovely long walk right up...More
We were so impressed by this well preserved castle, it's beautiful gardens, cafe's and layout. Parking was a breeze, the staff were great, the castle itself was comparable to pretty much everything we have seen in Ireland. The stone is a must see, and kissing...More
What a place. It is a must while being in Cork. The castle grounds have a cave, poison garden, stables, cafe etc while the castle is pretty much intact from the old ages. It has so many rooms, the smallest and the most steepest stairs,...More

Blarney Castle and Gardens was interesting for all the family however some older members of our group did not attempt the climb up the spiral stairs to the top. It is definitely best to get there early at opening times as the tour buses and...More

We took the Irish Tours out of Dublin and it was great - loved the tour guide/driver Jim. The tour price included the entry fees for all the locations we stopped at - 3. The prices for tour was very reasonable. We had almost no wait for kissing the stone - I think that is based on the time of year you go. Was there just recently in October. We had a full week of great weather. Gardens are beautiful. Can't go wrong with a visit it here
