    Beatiful sweaters
Best place to buy Irish sweaters. Loved the store in the old mill. Very close to Blarney Castle. Very large selection of sweaters, hats, scarves, gloves, socks and other related things. Got our order shipped for free and it arrived within 2 weeks of our arrival home.

    Shopping w Lunch
Selection was excellent and the staff in each section we visited were friendly. Found casual and work attire. We tried the pub restaurant on the other side of the lobby and found our Guinness and fish fry. Sorry didn’t write the name down so I might be spelling it wrong. Bice the name was Christy’s. The staff there were attentive and friendly too.

    Great shopping experience
This is a shopping mecca in Ireland. We took the bus from Cork in the poring rain just to go there, and I'm glad we did. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and were happy to mail my (extensive) purchases back home. The staff told be it usually takes 2-3 weeks y mail to the US; my package arrived in California in 10 days. A lot of tour buses stop there, and they have a big cafe; we had very welcome tea and light refreshments there.

Huge store and nice little restaurant
This is a huge store right near Blarney Castle that has tons of nice wool stuff, as well as housewares, furniture, souvenirs, chocolate and alcohol, jewelry, and more! The store is fun to just look around in, even if you're not buying anything. The restaurant attached to it is a no-frills cafeteria type place that has a ton of indoor and outdoor seating and the turkey and cheese sandwich I got was a great little lunch.

Great Shopping for Authentic Irish Made Woolen Goods and Souvenirs
If you want a great selection of Irish -made woolen goods (or other Irish souvenirs) this cavernous period factory store is an exceptional shopping experience. Blarney has much to choose from in styles and colors for men and women, all well-merchandised with uncluttered but well- organized spaces to shop over two large floors. The owner had a vision 50 years ago to re-employ those put out of work when the old mill closed, and he had a bit of experience with a small tourist shop near the Blarney Castle. Now the huge store and adjacent typical restaurants and hotel have made Blarney Woolen Mill shopping a complete visitor experience. All is exceptionally well-oriented to the visitor with interactive elements of the history and how to of the weaving industries and how the wool is gathered, spun and woven into beautiful garments. As someone with experience in American-styled visitor attractions both in the US, the UK and Japan, this experience rivaled the best of them in quality and visitor focus. Prices were reasonable and shipping is easily arranged. If you haven’t been excited by a shopping experience in some time, Blarney’s is worth the visit. The sandwiches at Christy’s pub were nice too. So glad we decided that the downtown Cork shopping was not what we were looking for on our one day cruise stop and that we ventured out to Blarney, 15-20 minute taxi ride to The Woolen Mills.

After the Covid Lockdown I was looking forward to our trip along the lovely Lee Valley to Blarney stopping off at the restaurant at Blarney Woollen Mills. It was a terribly disappointing experience at what is something of a tourism showcase. I was appalled by the lack of Covid safety measures to keep customers and staff safe at Blarney Woollen Mills.
Sanitiser dispensers were empty on the way in, same chaotic queuing system as before with sandwich / cake queue, hot food queues and beverage queues coming together at the one point in front of cash point and mixing with customers coming back with issues ("there was no cranberry with the turkey"). The Manager I spoke to claimed that there are only two queues but that is simply not the reality and there are no barriers or screens in place anywhere so safe social distances are not being maintained. Indeed I am not sure how the HSA would have approved the self service arrangements as most reopened catering outlets have opted for serve at table, contactless payment and remote ordering.
More tellingly debris was piling up on uncleared tables inside and out with crows feeding on the waste food outdoors. This would be unacceptable in normal times but during a pandemic it is on another level. Did not see a single table cleared and sanitised between customers in over 40 minutes. With un quarantined tourists piling into Blarney this tourist hotspot is now a contagion hotspot. Shabby lack of active management and awareness. The place is clearly understaffed to operate safely and I was appalled at the complacency when I attempted to give constructive feedback to a manager who clearly did not want to hear. He persisted in telling me tables were cleared and sanitised between customers when the evidence of my own eyes (and photos) clearly demonstrated this was untrue. He said "there is nothing we can do about the crows" and I pointed out that this is an issue that could be managed if outdoor tables were promptly cleared so the birds knew there was no food for them. I further said it was unacceptable that customers were continuously shooing crows from tables and pointedly he refused to come outside with me to view the uncleared tables and crows.
A very disappointing experience. We felt very unsafe here and will not be going back or recommending it to visitors. I have seen far more diligent and effective safety measures and systems in small outlets in our West Cork village than in this large scale and expensive branded operation.

Terrible online customer service and misleading Black Friday messaging.

I was met with a really rude e-commerce manager on Friday via the online chat.

Secondly the gift card system is so bad you can’t use store gift cards online - this is a very dated and frankly not user friendly !

To top this terrible experience off the Black Friday messaging was misleading and what I went into store to buy was more expensive than online.

Not once did it state ‘Black Friday online only,’!

Not only did I NOT get the Black Friday experience I was made to drive to a store as the online shop which btw is terrible to use, would not except my 40th birthday gift card to be greeted by no Black Friday.

For a very expensive store you need to up your online experience and train your staff better in customer service.

Shocking customer service, phones unresponsive and no voice mail so you have to keep calling a phone line ringing out forever. Emails are a git and miss, you might get a reply but they might not deliver on whatever was discussed and you're back to square one. Me and my sister did our Christmas shopping here in early October and the goods were supposed to be shipped to my home country. Couple a hundred euros worth of presents with almost a hundred euros of shipping costs and insurance. The parcel never turned up both FedEx and Blarney Woolen Mills are unresponsive and at this stage I'm just letting it go until January but I am beyond belief dissappointed and emrarrassed in front of my family by this whole ordeal.

The shop is huge, definitely bigger than we expected. As we were staying in hotel we visited shop few times. Three floor 😱 and Im telling you, need a map there, its soo big, that you can easy lost in there 😊 You can find everything in that shop, from turisty stuff like magnets and Irish accessories, clothing, home wears to arm chairs and sofas. Nice place but pricey. Worth a visit anyway 😊

This was by far the best place in Ireland to buy all your woolen goods. They had the best prices, things I got here I would later see in other stores for much higher prices. This place was fantastic, I'll be flying back just to shop here again.

We stayed in the Blarney Woollen Mills over the Long weekend. 23/10/2021. It was disgraceful how my wife and I and other guests were treated. We were not permitted into Christy's Bar and were told guests had to go to( what can only be called the reception area) to share a drink. This area is nice but as I said it's where you have afternoon tea and check in and out. If I had known that guests were not welcome, . Blarney Woollen Mills would not have been our choice. Guests should be the priority of every hotel. This is not the case at Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel.

I enjoyed very tasty pastries and coffee with friends in the early afternoon today ... when paying for the order I mentioned that the queuing system was confusing, to which I was offered an abrupt reply to the effect of "what must she do about it". That put a damper on our visit. A bit of customer courtesy training would contribute a lot to the promotion of general customer satisfaction.

This place is nice and they have a huge selection. They give you HORIZON vat tax refund forms and you need a HORIZON card from this store, in order to get a refund at the store. If you don’t get a horizon card, you will NOT be able to get a vat tax refund at the airport.

Took a friend to the cafe for lunch. I got a hot wrap which was ok but only had half the ingredients I asked for and was cold by the time i got it. We asked for lasagne at the hot food counter, I asked ifi could have chips and the man said no it had to be potatoes and veg. My friend went for the potatoes and veg which was one dry full potatoes a spoon of mashed carrot and 2 florets of brocoli and cauliflower. Really miserable portions for the price. Why I couldn't have had salad and chips I will never understand considering they have an entire salad counter and serve fish and chips.
