- PABOSligo, Ireland309 contributionsBrilliant experience.Absolute credit to each and everyone from management to every one of the young staff throughout the park. We visited today with our two year old grandson and he enjoyed every moment. It's a vast area and well planned and laid out with loads of activities. The vast number of staff would make one proud of the youth of today , whether at the diggers, the catering , the train or restaurant. Very good value too at all the amenities and restaurant. A must for locals to support as we need these facilities in rural Ireland.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 October 2023

- Éadaoin N4 contributionsOut of this world- 15/10We had the most amazing time at Santa at the Barn. Every effort was made to create magic and wonder in every space. We spent hours wandering through barns, playgrounds, soft play and even had lunch. All the staff are obviously happy in their jobs, they were all so welcoming and friendly. We will be booking for 2024. Amazing amazing amazing.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 December 2023

- D3420137 contributionsHighly Recommend, Santa Experience Brilliant 🤩Would highly recommend and the Santa Experience was absolutely amazing my kids (4 and 6) had the best day. You can spend as much time as you want which was great. My child had a little accident when running and bumped his head and the staff were fantastic, so attentive and made sure all was ok. All the staff throughout the farm were so friendly and welcoming. I have been to a lot of Santa experiences and this by far had exceeded my expectation and I’d highly recommend and is definitely value for money. Looking forward to returning in the summer. Thank You Leahy’s for a wonderful Day 😊Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 17 December 2023
- tinseltoesDublin, Ireland400 contributionsWonderful Family Day OutA large family group returned to Leahy's Farm. As per usual we spent most of the day, the kids of all ages 2 to 11 had a fantastic day out. There is so much to do for all the family - lots of entertainment and activities. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant while the occasional downpour took place outside. The Ball Pit area was a saviour for the younger kids when it did rain. We had plenty of time to go on everything a few times. All of the family really enjoyed their day and we look forward to returning.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 16 April 2024
- Annmarie H2 contributionsTruly amazing experienceOur experience at Leahys Open Farm and Glamping Pods was amazing from the moment we arrived. The attention to detail in the pods is second to none. As a family of 4, they have everything you need and spotlessly clean. The beds are so comfortable we didn't want to leave. The hangout area next to the pods is very well thought out and perfect for kids. Upon arrival at the farm there was just so much to do. So many animals which all have beautiful names, mini diggers, barrel train, zip lining and mini golf just to name a few. The playground and indoor play area were also a big hit. We really enjoyed our experience at leahys and most definitely will be back soon.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 17 July 2024
- lazydaisy306 contributionsFantastic Day Out!!Visited leahys farm for the second time today. Our first visit was a couple of years ago and had always wanted to come back. This time I had two 12 yr olds and two 9 yr olds ( all girls) with me. Weather wise we didn't have a great day...rain in afternoon but this did not stop it being a brilliant day out. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave leahys offers simple, creative and well organised and thought out fun. From the leprechaun cave at the start to the museums this place is a joy to be in for all ages . The kids loved everything..the barrel ride, the go karts , the maze, the slides, the playground...The diggers are a great hit...3 euro per go but well worth it...simple idea , well executed. There is just so much to do and see .. The animals are really only a small part of it! Everything is laid out well, signage and information about animals and musuem pieces is child accessible...no difficult scientific language , everything explained with children in mind. The family have done an amazing job of re purposing original farm buildings in an incentive way...I was particularly impressed with the Cluckingham palace indoor play area...so cleverly designed so simple, but very different to any where else. There is a restaurant...we brought a picnic( loads of benches around) so didn't eat there...but the food looked nice. There is a standard soft play area in restaurant for smallies too( different to aforementioned play area). The grounds are maintained to an exceptionally high standard, but yet the farm yard maintains a very natural farm like feel. My lot spend a good forty mins building dens in the den building space... Simple fun again. The homemade icecream here is AMAZING and there is also homemade chocolate which we didn't sample. The staff are so friendly. Every corner you turn in leahys farm there is something to see or do. I have never been to an open farm like it( and I've been to many over the years ). Our only regret was that due to heavy rain the pig racing wasn't on...saw this on our last visit and kids really wanted to see it again...it is hilarious and so much fun... I live a couple if hours away so probably won't get to visit again for a few years but would Highly recommend !Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 2 August 2024

- magsmar83Kilkenny, Ireland9 contributionsFantastic weekendWe spent two nights in the Glamping Pod at Leahys Open Farm. It's was absolutely fantastic, we have a 2 year old and 4 year old so they were at the ideal age to visit here. The Pod was spotless when we arrived and had everything that we needed for the weekend. The staff at the farm were so friendly and welcoming. We absolutely loved it, there was so much for them to do both indoors and outdoors. We had free access all weekend bcoz we were staying in the pod . We had our meals in the restaurant which was fab and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend it to any family wanting a nice family get away.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 August 2024

My son split his head open while there, no first aid was offered though I told them he hit his head and was bleeding. I asked for an ice pack and was handed an old used pack that wasn’t functioning, just a sharp piece of ice inside so we left to seek medical attention elsewhere. The place is dangerous with kids operating modified real diggers. Thorny briers around mouth of slide which is made from a waste deposal tube. Go-carts that we’re broken and dangerous. And the ‘train’ the most dangerous of all, wheels have been attached to barrels and are pulled behind a quad, god help you if you sit directly behind the quad, you’ll leave the ride with a black face from the fumes of the quad. No animal to pet or touch, some very very sad large birds in cages. It’s also very run down, and looks like some DIY enthusiasts put the place together and and there are additional charges for some of the activities even though the entry fee is very high. If you’re disabled there is limited access. 11euros per child is a total rip off for what it is. The food on site is incredibly expensive. We will NEVER return. It’s only a matter of time before there is a serious accident there.

Excellent experience with all the activities on the farm. 2 kids aged 4 and 5 and both parents had an absolute ball. Brilliant experience with only one major bad point. At the end of the day we got food in the restaurant, which cost over 50 euros and was very very disappointing. Kids got nuggets and chips which looked tiny on the plate (very few chips) and the nuggets were obviously cheap as they were almost inedible. Adult meals were marginally better but no where near value for money.

We have visited Leahys farm many times and always find the facilities excellent. Today we went to see Santa there and we have to say it was a great experience. Santa was extremely good and the gifts were very generous.
We had never eaten in the cafe and I'm sorry to say we never will again. My wife ordered fish and chips for €10 what she got was a piece of donegal catch and a plate of frozen chips. We could have got fresh cut chips and fresh fish in a chipper for €6 , no excuse to use frozen fish when your so close to the coast. The children's burger was honestly something a dog would turn its nose at. It as like a 2 mm circle of cardboard on a bun with not so much as an onion on top. I had the sandwich accompanied by frozen chips and not even a leaf of lettuce on the plate . The sandwich was fine but not worth €10 , you'd get the very same quality in centra for half the price. The staff in the cafe were very friendly and understood when we returned the burger. In this day and age there is no excuse to serve frozen food , especially at those prices.
We look forward to our next visit to the farm but unfortunately we will be eating elsewhere.

Okay, so my son is 5, we love leahys. However the Santa Experience was brutal. Waiting outside in a queue for 20 mins the weather was baltic. Got Inside to a shed that had a crib, waited another 10 mins, too many adults and children, onto another shed that had 1 slide on a bale of hay, waited another 10 mins, not enough interaction with kids, it was cringe and cold, Santa himself was a joy, the gift was cheap broke by the time we got home. The kids meal which consisted of 4 nuggets and about 10 chips was €8.50 no drink in that. Everything in there was soooooo over priced, never again.

We went to leahys with 4 kids. Aged 8, 7 and 2 year old twins. We were shocked to discover they no longer offer any family tickets. Each person included 2 year old twins were charged over €11. A cost of €69 for one family is a complete rip off.

Absolutely fantastic day out for young kids. I didn't read any reviews before our visit but we had an excellent day out at the farm. The staff were excellent and really seem to love working there.
The barrel rides, the big slide, the maze and petting the very friendly animals all went down a treat.
Loads of seating outside and great food for reasonable prices available in the restaurant. Followed up with lovely ice cream made on the farm.
Highly recommend a visit to the farm for any family, price is very reasonable and food prices really decent too.

Greed of the highest form. We paid nearly 100 euro for 2 adults . 2 kids 5 and 2 for Boo Experience.
Poor at best . The boo narrative was too advanced ref tv license and encouraging kids to shout in unison liar at an adult... very uncomfortable as how is a child to know of 5 yrs that it's not OK to chant liar liar when being told to do so. It was nearly 50 for a 5 mins ride on back of tractor
The rain was horrible and we woukd not have chosen to visit on a day with such bad weather .We had not been there before and as you had to pay 50 euro to get in for the farm to attend Boo. The tickets were linked. We did not get to even see it .
Whilst there there was Customer abusing young staff. The staff in question was shook and the owners when told about it said she was protected . This is 100% not true . We saw what happened and no one helped her . Our kids were exposed to violatile behaviour and no one seemed to mind !
We asked could back another to see see farm and were told no.
This is dispite paying 100 euro and 15 euro for ice creams.
The staff were lovely there and even when I called on the phone so nice.
It's just a shame that the owners don't care re the customer exp and are dismissive when we called to say positive feedback re the staff .
Just poor greed. We would not go back and honestly the fact the owner was so dismissive made it so disappointing. Bad customer service from Theresa.

Just back from Leahys. I went with my eldest son (2) who is stone wall bonkers about diggers and tractors, machinery in general really. He loved the mini diggers, (which we had been talking about for a month prior and was what brought me to the attraction from Kilkenny) just as much as the vintage fire engine and tractors. It was very quiet when we were there which really enhanced the experience for us. We loved seeing all the animals and the numerous play areas. We had our lunch there and bought some presents in the chocolate factory. I went on the slide and the go carts and loved all the old machinery and items. I’d say we didn’t see half of it as we were racing around the place and few items closed due to
Covid but I’m sure we will be going back for years to come! All the staff were very friendly a special mention to Ciara and Eddie himself! “LOOK MAMMY” will be ringing in my ears for weeks to come ☺️

Visited with 3 small children. Everything was amazing. The kids loved the diggers the pedal cars and the zip line. There was staff at the petting area ensuring people were keeping to one way and proper distance between groups. The maze was great fun and the museum areas very informative. The farm is spotless and very well kept it’s a credit to the staff. The kids only complaint was that they didn’t have enough time to do everything and didn’t want to home, will definitely return.

I am sure many people would enjoy this experience, but it wasn't for me and my family. I felt there was more of a focus on entertainment than animals. I would have liked more focus and information on the animals. I would have also liked to see more focus on landscaping and planting within the setting too, like a wild flower meadow or some environmental initiatives. I didnt try the cafe food as unfortunately I saw a few bluebottle flies landing on the food, I don't blame the establishment as it's summer time and it's inevitable, but I couldn't bring myself to eat anything after seeing that. Myself and my husband did have coffee and it's was only average. One thing that did affect me is that the exit appears to require you to go through a toy/souvenir shop. Please correct me if I am wrong. This was a problem for my 2 year old who took a liking for a pink unicorn despite us trying to whisk her through fast, she spotted it. It meant a prolonged tantrum! I don't take her to toy shops so I certainty wouldn't expect to have to encounter one at a farm! It puts parents in a difficult position. Overall, while it definitely offers a lot in ways for some families, it felt very business oriented to us and didn't do it for us.
