Great private Druver through Ireland

Looking for a private driver for your tour through Ireland? We highly recommend Shannon Tours.
Declan,Sinead and our driver, Colman were amazing to work with.
Declan helped plan our itinerary for our family trip. He listened to where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see and helped make the most of our time.
Our driver Colman was amazing. Expert driver and fun as we all got to know him.
We were a family of 7 .The coach was comfortable for us with room to spare!
A great experience that enhanced our amazing trip to Ireland!

Great Service all round

The service by Shannon Tours (Declan, Sinead and the driver Brandan) was outstanding. On time, very courteous, efficient ... everything you need from a coach/airport transfer/ tour company. Thank you.

Family trip around Ireland

I booked Declan and Shannon tours for our family trip to Ireland. I could not be happier!! Declan listened to our wants and helped build an itinerary that had both young and old delighted!

Wether it was a special trip to the airport for an early flight or sticking around late to give us a ride in to town for dinner he was always there for us.

His great demeanor and wit kept us engaged from start to finish!

You can't go wrong with Shannon tours!

A holiday I will never forget

We came to Ireland for Christmas from Sydney. We organised Declan to show us the wild Atlantic way and he did not disappoint. There’s something about Irish hospitality that makes you feel at home with strangers as soon as you meet them and Declan is your guy for this. He knew all the secrets and shortcuts of our drive, we left the whole plan up to him for 4 days. If you’re lucky you may even get some traditional music in the bus along with a Irish folklore or two which is such a treat. 12/10 would recommend to anyone I meet.

Best tour company

We have used Shannon tours every time we come to Ireland. Declan goes out of his way to make sure that you have the best experience ever. We always have a great experience in fact our driver Peadar from our first trip to Ireland did our reading for our our wedding at Dromoland Castle and Declan pocked us all up in Dublin to take us to the wedding. This is by far the best tour company you will encounter in Ireland.

I had the pleasure of being driven around County Clare by Declan Roughan - Owner of Shannon Tours.
Declan is an outstanding, safe, knowledgeable and can even sing, as he tours the county.

Guide through Ireland

This was my family’s second trip with Declan Roughan & Shannon Tours. We enjoyed him so much the first time in Ireland in 2015 we vehemently requested him again for our June 2019 trip. He is a great man and talented tour guide to boot. He is extremely knowledgeable, knows the nooks and crannies of the country, and handles his beautiful tour van through the windy roads of Ireland as if it’s nothing. He’s witty and teaches you things about the country you won’t get in books or from “cookie cutter” tours. I HIGHLY recommend him... although hopefully you don’t book him when we come back! ☘️🤙🏻

I can't say enough about how wonderful our trip was to Ireland. We had a very loose itinerary. We wanted to experience as much of the culture as we could. Declan knew exactly the right things to suggest and always planned ahead for us. He would listen to how we wanted our day to unfold, and would offer suggestions to enhance our experiences. He knew the perfect spots to stop for coffee or lunch, always called ahead to make sure a table was waiting for us. He took care of every detail. He was informative and knowledgeable and shared much of the Irish history with us. My brother pulled his back before the trip and was a little uncomfortable the first day. The next day when Declan picked us up, he brought a support pillow for him. We spend out last night in Dublin alone, without Declan. The joke was that we were lost without him taking care of all of our needs! We highly recommend Shannon Tours and Declan. He absolutely made our trip!

Fantastic tour bus company!

My family and I had the best experience with Declan. He picked us up from our hotel, we visited Doolin and did the cruise to the Cliffs of Moher. Declan is very patient and allowed for changes to our itinerary, which included a detour to Ennistymon. He took the time to show us around Ennis before dropping us back to the hotel. The bus was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this company, but especially Declan.

Extraordinary! The BEST possible tourguide!

We recently completed a driving tour around Ireland. Shannon Tours provided us with a flexible, informative and relaxing trip. Our driver, Declan, would make suggestions as to interesting sites everywhere we went. He would even ask if we preferred to drive on the highways or secondary roads. His primary concern was our satisfaction.

We had an itinerary, but, so much flexibility, that we could linger at one site, skip another, or visit one of the unusual sites he suggested (such as sheep dog herding demonstration!)

We pitied the tourists on the big busses. Shannon Tours is the only way I'd ever travel around Ireland again!
