    Really beautiful and fresh
Loop Head is a most beautiful area and really refreshing to visit. The cliffs are fantastic and free to visit unlike the Cliffs of Moher. There are nice ares here to just relax and take in the natural beauty around.

    Good but not great.
Kilkee was the start and a great place to get a coffee. Go to The Pantry. Headed to Kilbaha which was a great view and then headed towards Carrigaholt unfortunately on a road that resembled a track so beware. However, the scenery was worth it, but for the faint hearted stick to roads with white lines.

Beautiful Views, Especially the Further Out You Drive
We drove the round trip from Ennis and took most of the day. We took the slower roads along the west coast on the way out, which had the best views of the day. After ending at the lighthouse, we took more of the "N" roads back, which was much faster. Follow along the WWW signs though, for the best views. We felt the views here were better than the Beara, Kerry, or Dingle Peninsulas.

What a beautiful place. It is so quiet and peaceful here compared to the Cliffs of Moher. But, equally as beautiful. Just be careful. There are no railings or fences and it is windy. But, definitely worth a good days visit.

Well worth the trip. Stunning views. A bright day and was able to see the Dingle peninsula clearly. Lovely walkways near the cliffs and the Eire sign. Plenty of picnic tables at the lighthouse to enjoy a cuppa. Well worth visiting.

We landed in Shannon early in the morning and this was our first place to visit. After reading a small article about it I figured it would be worth it…. And how! Of all the places we visited in the 2-1/2 weeks we visited Ireland… we all agree that it was one of the most beautiful places! All the wild flowers in bloom along the rugged coastline was spectacular. The lighthouse itself was closed for renovations but the coastline was open for viewing…and what a wonderful view indeed! We practically had the place to ourselves… it’s nature at its best.
At this time of year I believe it was even nicer than Cliffs of Moher visitor center area, which we visited also. I say visitor center because we did a hike from Doolin to Cliffs of Moher visitor center and that was also spectacular.

This headland is very scenic. It terminates at a lighthouse. Much of the peninsula is agricultural land but the headland itself is open moor

A trip to Loop Head Lighthouse is a must, followed by a meal in Keatings of Kilbaha. Great food at a great price.

This is one of the nicest places in Ireland I visited
The sheer ruggedness of the area is breathtaking with steep drop to the ocean and the area is not over run with people
