The drive to the lighthouse is worth every mile. The car park is free, as is the area around the light house, and the views are dramatic. A huge rock column detached from the mainland is a haven for ocean birds, and the path to...More

Visited here in May 2017. Great visit. The guides are very well informed and are very friendly. The views are fantastic. The walk around the perimeter of the head is a must!!!

We drove to Loop Head, which is further west than the resort Kilkee. The roads are quite narrow, please follow the sign-posts and don't forget to visit the Lighthouse which affords wonderful views

This is a place you would only visit if you are headed to the lighthouse. We spent an hour wandering along the cliff top with beautiful views of the Atlantic Oceon
