Perfect beach to watch the sun set.

The perfect place to watch the sunset. It's a sheltered beach with golden sand, cliffs and caves. Parking is close to the beach.

A little piece of paradise
Aug 2021
Glorious, quiet beach with beautiful sand and sparklingly clear water.

Having cycled 150 miles over a couple of days, we were in need of an ice cold swim to cool those aching muscles. Not only did we get that, but we also experienced the tranquility of a virtually empty beach in August! Apart from a couple of surfers and a family enjoying a picnic, we had the place to ourselves, and beautiful it was.

Beautiful spot, isolated and peaceful

Like many beaches on the islands, this is a gorgeous little spot that you stumble upon while exploring Loch Dalbeg. Highly recommend for some peace and quiet and a wee seat while admiring the view!

Beautifully isolated

We were the only ones on the beach in this lovely little cove. The sand is almost white and the water very blue and clear. What we have noticed on our travels up here is the lack of plastic detritus on the beaches - very refreshing in our throw away age!

World class
Oct 2018 • Couples
This is one of a number of world class beaches with wide expanse of beautiful white sand. Wonderful in any weather but especially so when the sun shines. You can ofter capture a dramatic scene with a full rainbow.

Idyllic Beach
May 2018 • Couples
This is a truly stunning beach, particularly at sunset. Easy to get to only 5 minutes from Carloway just a little further along the coast from the larger Dalmore beach, which is also very beautiful.
