Was through the Rannoch Moor on our Rabbies Bus Tour. Since it was a beautiful day our driver was kind enough to make an extra stop for photo opportunities. I have to say some of the best photos of our trip were taken here.

I was staying at kin loch Rannoch and took my bike on a cycle round loch rannoch. At the west end I carried on to Rannoch station. As soon as you go past the end of Loch Rannoch there are no human signs of life except the road and Galway up the hydroelectric dam. The area is suddenly desolate and... More

The whole area is just stunning We drove up in the heavy rain and dark but then on the morning after the sun came out (it was still cold!) and the colours, the solitude, the snow capped mountains - poetry in nature

My wife and I have been coming to this part of Scotland for a week each year for a while. This year the weather was exceptional, which in turn made the scenes even better. Every turn on the roads there is another great scene. Too much to take in at once, so, just take your time and appreciate. Hard to... More

Whatever time of year Rannoch Moor never fails to impress us.with its scenic views, not least because our home territory is the flat landscape of the Fens. On every visit we have seen wild deer grazing and spotted birds of prey.

We stay in Kinloch Rannoch twice a year and Rannoch Moor is one of the places we cannot wait to return to. So beautiful and , like many other lochs, Loch Laidon has its own mini-beach. Fabulous for a lovely relaxed packed lunch.

We came from the east (Pitlochry) by car, where the road ends at Rannoch Moor station. One mile before the end(train station) we picked the old trial to FortWiliam. Unfortunately they have started to construct a road over the trial. So we left the road(under construction) and walked right through the desolate moor landscape for about two hours. Simply fantastic... More
