My absolute favourite garden! As a keen gardener this garden has something for everyone. It is a delight and would provide inspiration for anyone thinking of making a new garden, small, medium or large.

This is a little gem - go when the rhododendrons and azaleas are all out, and don't forget the himalayan poppy collection. A little known feature is the ancient pear tree, still there from the days when the whole area was covered in orchards. Run by the head gardener and his wife, who are really welcoming. Being National Trust for... More

Visited Branklyn Garden during 2nd week of October. The garden looked wonderful with all the various Autumn copper, red & gold shades of the leaves, it really was outstanding (see the photos l have posted). The garden has many interesting plants & is beautifully maintained. Well worth a visit.

Visited in early September, so probably missed out on the main flowering displays. We'd like to re-visit maybe in June when there's more to see. The gardens are right next to the main Dundee Road which is very busy.......and very noisy, which detracts from the experience.

A small garden, so not too much walking involved to see round it all, but never the less still very beautiful with many paths turning and twisting through all the trees, lawns, flowerbeds, and shrubs - there's even a small stream and pond to add to the atmosphere of tranquillity, though the traffic noise from outside this haven does try... Visited this garden on a warm cloudy day. Shop was shut on arrival but soon met the sole NTS gardener and had a long chat about the history and care of the garden. Beautifully maintained beds, lawn, rockery and water feature, very neat and tidy. Lovely meandering paths and some wonderful specimen plants. Well worth a visit.

Very small, but a lot of plants arranged in a maze of small paths. Noise from the very close by Dundee Road spoils any tranquility. Not a lot of garden for the admission fee.

We never tire of a visit to one of the best gardens on this side of Scotland being members of the National Trust we come fairly regularly . August is not the best month for colour but there are still some stunning plants to admire .There was no one manning the shop but there is an honesty box for people... More

Branklyn is a tiny garden but extremely well laid out to give the visitor an enchanting experience. Follow the paths to really appreciate the range and diversity of plants, trees and shrubs complemented by rock gardens, a pond and a small waterfall. Sit awhile on the benches strategically placed around to enjoy the ever-changing vista, especially looking up - you... More

Highly recommend. Don't let the fact that this is a small garden put you off. It is magnificent. Quite amazing how clever design can create an image of something larger. Plenty of spaces to sit and enjoy; maybe do a few sketches too! The garden is well-maintained. Please find time to visit. You won't be disappointed.
