Great local attraction run by locals. Highly recommend their annual panto performances if you can get a ticket. Great laugh!

Last night was only the second performance of the pantomime, Dick Whittington, presented by Nairn Drama Club at the Little Thearte in Nairn. I just have to say we have never laughed so much in ages. Great lines, entertaining, very funny, bright interesting costumes and scenery. The performers were all fantastic: Tommy the Cat, Dick, Sarah, (Mustapha & Leak incredibly funny), Fairy Bowbell, Alice, Alderman, Idle Jack, Captain Bilgewater, (oh and the very nasty King Rat), Florabunda, Sultan, Scupper, Stan, Cabin Boy plus many more. Great show, fantastic talent. Some audience participation at the end which was rather fun. Note: You have to book your ticket in advance. Usually advertised in the Nairnshire Telegraph. Directions: A96 - Coming from Inverness direction take second exit at white flat roundabout or from Forres direction take 3rd exit at white flat roundabout. (Near Nairn Congregational Church). You can't miss it after that it is on the left. Parking: On street. However there is a large car park located at the Links or one just opposite Nairn Police Station/Community Centre, only a few minutes walk either way. Seats: Approximately 80. Refreshments available.

This is a great 'little theatre' with shows put on regularly as well as films. It is an intimate space - audience not too large. The local drama society put on plays every three or four months. I once took part in one. It was great fun. So go along and support the local actors and actresses in this lovely little place.
