Many people believe that this brooding lake in Northern Scotland, 21 square miles in size at an average depth of 800 feet, could certainly hide a large dinosaur-like "monster," the lake's long-time and elusive resident.

First of all, make sure you add Synchronicity II by The Police to your playlist before coming to Scotland since it is imperative that you listen to it as you drive past Loch Ness. The weather was perfect--rainy and dreary--and we drove along the loch...More

Easily the most famous of the many Lochs in Scotland. So basically a must see. The history and mystery is the big draw. The views are wonderful and a bucket list item.

Many things have been written about Loch Ness. However, unless you have visited and admired the stunning scenery for yourselves nothing compares. An absolute gem. The mind boggles at the landscape around you. Absolutely worth a visit.

We travelled through the Highlands and the Loch areas. Loch Ness is pretty expansive and impressive and felt really very tranquil to view. Try as we might, we couldn't spot Nessy!!
