This was a nice, fairly short hike with an incredible destination. The hike itself is moderate with some rocky areas and a great gorge area. If you have good hiking boots and take your time you will be all set. I'm an overweight almost 50...More

Nice walk along the River Newis, upward to the waterfall. Great nature and stunning views. Depending on the fitness level, choose the starting point.

The Steall Waterfall is amazing and you can park not far from it, about 30min after you park, very easy one, too. I have only been there but I am sure there are plenty others!!

There might be some stepping stones in the river to cross, but they wew quite flooded when we were there. However you can watch the waterfall from across the river.

To my memory there are no barriers and I don’t think that they would close the park, which anyhow is small. Personally I would opt for the Lower falls car park and then move up early morning, as very near and flat land.
