We have just come back from a holiday in the Scottish Highlands which was amazing. A lots of our trips were on or around The Caledonian Canal. An amazing feat of engineering by Thomas Telford. We saw the locks At Fort Augustaus. Must see.

The canal seemed closed but it wasn't very clear, there was lots of scaffolding everywhere. It wasn't clear where to find information about the history of the canal.
