From the parking lot to the cliffs above the stacks is a bit of a stroll through a fences pasture. We had a mostly sunny day for it but the general path was muddy in some spots and if just wandering through the field there...More

Follow the fence along to the left before heading up to see the stacks. From there you will be rewarded with a beautiful view. We were there in October and so the ground was quite wet so make sure you wear ideal footwear.

Offering good views to the north and a lighthouse well worth the drive up from John O'Groats. Walk or just park and watch, it's good either way. Coach parking was available.

At least something nice to see in this spot. It can be seen from afar or walk the way. Park there overnight.

These are well worth a visit if you are in the area. We got there rather late on and wasn't great for photography but still worth a visit.

We really wanted to call here to see the lighthouse and take a long walk. We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed a good walk - the scenery doesn’t get any better.

Another natural view in this corner of Scotland that has the power to counteract the commercialism of J O'G along the road. Roadside parking and a short walking route along the edge of farmland (pastures with sheep grazing) to a long, well fenced stretch of...More

We stayed here overnight. Amazing views, very windy. We were in a camper van. There are no facilities.

Hello; What a lovely walk you're planning...but the main attraction is between the lighthouse and the stacks (not between John O and the lighthouse. So be sure to pace yourself so that you can walk the latter part of the... More
